Thank you for your very nice comments and wonderful rating, I really appreciate it. I think that most of us do take our loved ones for granted and eventually something will happen to make us regret it. Thanks again my friend and enjoy your Sunday. Bill

This is a well thought our Naani, many homes are broken because of various reasons. As I looked at that picture and read this very insightful poem, it brought tears to my eyes. My mother is 91 years young, she had eight children, two of my sisters are deceased. I love my mother, she is in better health than I am except she suffers from dementia. Out of the six remaining children, one would think that everyone would help with her care. Our family became broken when my father passed in 2006. Your Naani poem is very touching all my siblings need to read it. Thanks for sharing and the very best to your in the contest. Exceptional job and it touched my heart. Blessings............Portia

Thank you very much Portia for your wonderful review and for the exceptional rating, I truly appreciate it. Basically, my family has experienced the same thing as yours did. We have also grown apart over the last few years and we're all in our sixties and seventies. Please pray for us, as I will pray for yours. And God bless your mother, 91 years young, that's terrific! Take care of yourself my friend and enjoy your Sunday.

Excellent. Too often we ignore loved ones (cell phone while
sitting next to those we love, etc.) or just taking them for
granted. Your poem points out the reward of truly living in
the present. Marilyn

Thank you very much Marilyn for your wonderful review, I truly appreciate it. We do take our loved ones for granted. I used to be guilty of that, but not anymore, thank God. Enjoy your weekend my friend.

I like your using a naani as a way of conveying wisdom. Your advice is sage and well-put in but four lines. One small error: "to" late should be "too." Good luck in the contest.

A message one can never hear too much. An old message expressed in an original way - a great use of the Naani form - should do well in the contest.
