Very well written. I can relate as my family went through a similar set of circumstances when my grandfather passed. Thank you for sharing this and I look forward to more. Great job.

Sounds interesting, teols. Maybe you'll write about it. :-)

Oh dear...Shari...and my brother saw our mom, or thought he did after their car crash, standing next to Dad's shop watching while he mowed the lawn. This makes me sad, remembering. I hope there's something better when we have to go. Another good chapter Shari...x

I'm sure there is, Sue.
Love and Hugs,

You know me and prose, Shari, so this is a bit long for me, though I did read it very quickly.
It's wonderful how much your relationship with your sister improved, but of course under such sad circumstances, and how she proved her love in more ways than one, by being so generous, particularly in gifting you her special Graduation bracelet.
Great fun dialogue - your speciality, IMO, and I'm surprised you say you couldn't compete with your sister's wit - she must have been a genius. ;-)
Here's a deserved sixer, not just for this chapter, but for the series.
Cheers, Ray xx

Thanks so much for the exceptional rating, Ray. Barb did have a high IQ. I'm sure it was in the genius range. Yes, a one percent turn around in our relationship. I'm glad this climatic part of the bio is over!

Well, the ending to this chapter was a bit of a shocker, Spit. Not the fact that Barb eventually passed away, we all knew that was coming, especially you.
The shock came as you recanted the fact that Frank saw your sister one full week after her death, in your kitchen dressed in black, no less.
Also interesting were the words you'd encountered while playing the word game, Text Twist. I mean, out of the thousands of words in the English language, what do you think the odds would be for those four words, dad, end, neap, and panda, to all show at the same time? A thousand to one? A million to one, perhaps?
While I don't have the answer to that question, I do know this. Spirits exist. No matter what any preacher, priest, rabbi, or ardent follower of Christ tries to tell us, they exist, and it's simply a fact.
I know, I've seen them myself. But that's a story for another time.
Great writing, as usual, Spit.

I've had neighbors report on seeing a person who passed away two or more days ago, going out to their mailbox. I wish I had been the one to see my sister. It convinced hubby, a devout Catholic, that spirits or ghosts do exist. Thanks for the great review.
Hugs,
Shari

You're more than welcome, Shari. It was a great chapter, albeit, a very sad one.

I forgot to include another word and added it today: paean meaning a song of joy, triumph or praise. That fit too. Interesting I played that game at least 800 times and never got that same combination of letters again.

Yeah, what are the odds of it happening again, much less the first time? Astronomical, I'd imagine...
