I'm kind of confused. Not sure of the point in some of your lines here. It isn't really clear what side you are on. Please let me know. I'm giving a three, till you clarify which I will change..

Really? You are the first to express such confusion. May I gently suggest you read it again? I find that often helps when I have difficulty in comprehending something. If that doesn't work for you, please be more specific and give me the number of the reason I gave for why Satan hates this Bible story and I will try to clarify it for you.

Hi Denis, this is a well written and very persuasive story that has a lot going for it, but setting the devil against the Lord is a no brainer for me, there would only ever be one outright winner my friend.

Thanks Eric1, point well taken. What might not be as clear is Satan's attack on the Lord is subtle. He attacks the written word of God, the scriptures. One can see this in his interaction with Eve: first he causes doubt, "DID God say?" Then he portrays God as unkind and ungenerous, perhaps holding back some good things, like forbidden fruit and knowledge. At last he flat out denies the God's word, "You will not surely die." Thanks for reading and commenting, always appreciated, Dennis

Thanks William ...God loves all, but everyone must individually trust the Savior for eternal life or be excluded from His love forever. Trusting you understand this, I thank you for reading and commenting. Dennis

Well done thou good and faithful servant. Is that not what you are? I am so impressed at someone who can submit writing like this on a site like this. It is to be reviewed with no bias and you will probably get flack from some, but what a testimony. I love it. Well done.

Thank you AnnieDawn. Flack is to be expected when we follow the One who was insulted and crucified in our place! I thank you for your encouragement and pray God's richest blessing on you. YBIC, Dennis

This story of the thief on the cross is one that has always stuck with me for all of these reasons listed. One aspect that I enjoy is that Jesus found one more believer in the last day of his natural life. That's got to be a great feeling.

"One aspect that I enjoy is that Jesus found one more believer in the last day of his natural life." Well said, I love that too! One old preacher said, "He took time out from dying to save another soul!" Blessings, brother! YBIC, Dennis

Hi Deniz! I enjoyed reading your post today. It's good to be reminded of Jesus on the cross. We'll soon be entering the season of Lent and after that Easter. Lent always puts me into deep depression.

Hi Joy, "Lent always puts me into deep depression". Maybe that's because "Lent" is not really biblical. We are commanded to "Rejoice always, and again I say, rejoice!" My advice is to ignore religious traditions and remember instead that Christ died for all your sins, has given you eternal life and has clearly stated in Romans 8 that "NOTHING can separate you from the love of Christ which is in Christ Jesus."
God bless you and thanks for responding, Dennis
