This has been my first foray into the Adventures of Nichole, Jeff, and You. I was able to pick up easily, and follow the rapid pace, characterized by skillfully written prose, through to the end of the chapter. With that ending, I am now officially hooked. What was the insult? Why did she yell at you?

I especially enjoyed reading about the wedding preparations that Nichole and Jeff took upon themselves on a shoestring.

Technically, I like the way your movement among narrative, dialogue, and inner thought weave themselves into a pleasant interlocking plot structure. I look forward to the next chapter.

I never thought of Halloween as a wedding holiday, unique and a different idea. Jeff does not seem to be too bad and at least they have been together for five years. I am looking forward to the wedding.

I was too. But I'm guilty of almost ruining Nichole's special day. I let my ego take over.

I did notice that you didn't mention Jeff in the slightest, Spit. Of course, being married on Halloween was always one of my own personal dreams, complete with all the vampire regalia. Unfortunately, not too many women have been very receptive to the idea, heh-heh.

Not into artsy, craftsy things, huh? Me either. I've never been very good at that sort of thing...unless it had to do with making props for our charity yard haunts. I've always excelled at that.

Go figure...

Now, after things seemed to be going so well during your visit to help your daughter Nichole plan for the wedding and pick out her dress, it seems another storm is looming on the horizon. Your relationship with Jeff and your daughter was truly one big roller coaster ride from hell, wasn't it?

The next chapter will relate feelings I'm not proud of. Wish I had had the wisdom back then that I do now.

You did a marvelous job with this. I love your sarcastic humor and to add to your pain, both my daughters had wedding that came to little more than $100 each. One got married by an Elvis impersonator and the other a justice of the peace. Smart girls...I am surprised they remembered to invite me. I look forward to reading the next chapter.

No kidding? They really did invite you? I'm guessing you didn't have money for airfare. Smart daughters. Hope they each had more expensive honeymoons. Guess it doesn't matter if you're in love.

This well written chapter added a lot of feelings for Jeff. However, it faded away after I read the final sentence. I enjoyed the planning and finding out that much of the cost would be absorbed by the friends. The wedding dress sounds very beautiful. Weddings are soooo expensive.

This was an interesting and fulfilling chapter. I look forward to the next one. I want to hear what was said to you. Some people are rude, even after a person does all they can for them. I expect this is the problem. I will have to wait to find out. Best wishes, my friend.

Always with respect,

The next one will be a challenge to write. Looking back I can see my mistakes too. Thanks for reading and the excellent review.
