HI, Shari,

I continue to enjoy this family series and see I've missed some chapters. I'll be looking back to catch up.

This seemed to be a good transitional chapter. Not much drama at all. I can surely understand the 'wanting to reforge family ties.' Anyone with young adult kids understands exactly what you mean.

Looking forward to the next one.

Ray

THanks, Ray. The basis of this situation is my daughter's pick of a live-in boyfriend who is rude, crude, and socially unacceptable to put it politely. He does have some good qualities though. He puts up with my daughter- not always easy.

G'day Shari, I think I hate him already. That trips sounds really great but a bit cold for me though. How were the shows and the buffet on deck, that sounds awesome. Great chapter mate, cheers Fez

Alaska was cold even in July. Once there is enough. The shows were fantastic. The buffet-lots to choose from, but the formal dinners much better.

I am so proud you went on the cruise. There are so many things we do for our kids. I have always struggled with my oldest daughter but since she has had a baby it has been better.

This was good writing....what did she mean about really hating Jeff? Great hook for us sadness for you.
God bless

I regret that I didn't question her more, but talk about him always separated us, so I let the remark go.

I'm glad you managed to go in the end. Sometimes it's not about the money, but the bonding with your children by going the extra mile. I've spent most of this week decorating my daughter's flat because she and her husband work FULL time as pastors. Why do I do it? Because she asked!
Glad to see you made the effort with Jeff. The quickest way to drive a wedge in your relationships with your children is to say how much you dislike their partner. It means they can't come to you if the relationship fails, in case you say 'I told you so!'

I look forward to finding out how it all pans out.

Hi Again, Shari!

Another compelling chapter! And as you usually do, you left us with a real teaser at the end. I noticed you made no mention of Nichole's performances, other than you attended most of them. The fact Nichole is sending much of her paycheck to their joint account is of concern. Will Jeff simply up and leave with the funds? will he spend the money foolishly on his dark lifestyle? Hmmm!

See ya at the next chapter! Best to you ...

Alan

You're looking into a crystal ball.
A real oversight not to mention her performances!
I'll add it into the next chapter.

    Hi Shari ...

I think it's the musician in me that made me aware of the "oversight". We musicians tend to be a bit egotistical at times .. we like feedback on our performances. I think it night be a good idea, as you said, to make at least a quick reference to the enjoyment, or lack of, you had will attending her performances.

    See ya next time!
