Your poem is in excellent syllable count and structure for the nonet
You use rhyme to good effect
nice alliteration in twisted tongue
good internal rhyme in used and abused
good alliteration and internal rhyme in soul/stole

This poem flowed very well and fit together nicely yet every line had a powerful punch. I like how you had an AABB rhyming scheme to start with and then changed it in the second half, that made it very dynamic. 'Mind so twisted, tongue of lies' is a fantastic line. Good luck in the contest.

This hit me like a ton of bricks. WOW. It also makes me think of my friend, who went through an abusive marriage (So glad she is out). You did a great job! It is so simple, but so eloquent and full of meaning. I loved it!
