We none of us know what another suffers until we are in that position ourselves. Life has taught me many things, but most of all it has taught me patience and tolerance. You painted a very clear picture with your analogies.

'Pink Clouds in a Soft Purple Sky' is full of such creativity that I feel like I'm reading poetry. You are a marvelous talent!
What word is missing here? 'The(word) does smile proudly as they quietly disappear into a field of twenty-foot-tall....'
Thank you for exposing readers to such an unknown world. Your picture seems perfect for this piece, Sasha.

Thanks for catching that. I wasn't sure how this would go over but I must admit I had a ball writing it. Way beyond my normal style but a fun challenge all the same. I am thrilled you enjoyed this one.

Very interesting, and very captivating. You show us a different perspective of a reality that a fair amount of people live within. Judging from the world you describe, it's no wonder that some have no desire to leave it. It's horrible to know that the drugs that are designed to help cause just as much if not more pain. This is a very wonderful story, you did a great job with it.

I am so pleased you understood what I was trying to say. Yes, sadly, for many the medication is worse than the delusions they often must deal with. They leave you drowsy, foggy, nauseous, shaky, unable to sleep, some develop speech impediments, poor memory, and depression just to name a few. Schizophrenia is a horrific disease, and the cure, for some, is even worse.

My daughter works in psychiatric. It is sad for those who honestly can't help what is going on in their mind. Then you have those that use it to get what they want. Your story is well written and I love all of imagination of colors and the tree. Good work.

I had to use my stay in the hospital for some good use. Personally, I recommend everyone spend at least two week in a psychiatric ward...it will do them wonders. Glad you enjoyed this one. Must admit, it was quite a challenge.

I can only imagine. I hear stories from my daughter. She loves working in this field compared to a hospital. There is just so much to see and hear and also can make you stop and think about your own life.

This is very interesting and the author's notes are most informative. Very well written work.

Sasha,
Nice piece.
Oh my, I can see what you meant about the tree! lol!
Good descriptions.
Loved the use of all those colors you used in your descriptions.
Yes, schizophrenia is still not understood. It is a difficult condition.
You capture it well.
I enjoyed this.

Now who wouldn't rather see that world? I love the way you wrote this girl Beginning in the other world and ending waiting to go back to it. Very pleasing read and has me applauding the "no drug" scene.

Thank you so very much for your generous review. I would never tell anyone not to take their medication but after seeing so many literally turn into waking zombies, it is hard not to have an opinion.
-
Exactly my opinion!!!!

H, Sasha, I feel like wanting to stop reading before the narrator goes back to 'real life' in the hospital. It was such a perfect world ...:) This is interesting, informative and thought provoking.

The Grand Pelican spoke them all at the same time....quite a feat, don't you think? Not sure where this came from but I had fun with it.
-
It was fun to read. I am having a difficult day because of the chemo and that place seems really good to me, right now.
-
Chemo is something I pray I never have to experience again. Take care of yourself and get all the rest you can. Yes, I can understand why a nice quiet place with pink clouds would seem appealing about now.
