Very well organized ideas logically presented with supporting proof. You do a very good job of presenting the current situation and Obama's role in it. Just a couple little details(probably typos): In the section on Canadian health care you write "would HACE access" instead of "HAVE". In the paragraph beginning "Somewhere..." you write "defend IT'S habit" instead of ITS.

I'm glad to read a positive article on your president. As a writer I followed his bio although I do not understand much about politics, especially worldwide. I think he is an honorable and responsible leader and person, and this shines through in your essay.

As a reviewer I have awarded you five stars. This was done because you presented your arguments and defended them very artfully. So I gave you five. But as far as the validity of your points, you owe me five. I worked to get Kennedy elected, I thought him the wave of the future. He did some good things and was rather foolish about others..The Bay of Pigs thing. I really do not care how many women he seduced. I was glad to see Obama elected, put a dagger in the heart of racism. But he is not a world leader.. and he does not command world respect. I want him to do well but I think he was a better community organized.

Why do I owe you a moment in history let alone a five star reciprocal agreement. Ever heard of Trudeau? I worked for him, but no one cared and now he is dead.

After Our exchange of replies I decided to read some of your work. You write very well. The poem, September, very nice. Enjoyed reading your work. Might not subscribe to some political views, but in the course of a life how important is that? Glad I read you.

This is very well presented. I could never write such a special writing such as this. I know what you wrote about JFK was absolutely true. I still remember the day.
What you wrote about the Canadian situation is right on.
I really liked the ending. Kudos my friend. Best wishes in the contest.

I might not agree with much of your political views, I do agree with some. But this is a well thought out essay of your views. It, certainly, should make people stop and rethink whatever political ideas they have. Very good work.

What part don't you agree with?

I don't talk politics or religion, mostly because I always lose. But different ideas are what our country is all about.

Great write, When the vote was first started do you or anyone eles ever think a black man would ever be president of the United States Of America. I think we should be proud. I hope you are really proud of this point and not speaking with sarscam. I liked your writing for pointing these things out. Thank you, Shirley

Well Shirley, first of all my initial thought was he would be assasinated and I hope this brilliant man survives his convictions. I think he would sacrifice his life for America.

I dont think I replied when you sent. There was not a hint of sarcasm in anything I had to say about Obama. As for being a black man I think it was far more controversial in the USA than anywhere else in the world. Who would even bother to mention that Nelson Mandela is black? Leaders excel and Obama is only just beginning to be heard as a man and a leader. For me he could be orange or purple.....it doesn't or shouldn't matter.

Your argument is well written with facts liberally distributed throughout. There is good imagery and descriptive scheme. Good luck in your contest.

You have written an essay that makes immeasurable sense, along with sensitivity. What I truly admire about your piece, deserving the 6 stars, is what you have written is detailed and serves honoring our president, who is doing a job that few could ever handle as he has done. Thank you so very much for your words of integrity.

As an English guy I read this essay with much interest. We also remember the Kennedy clan more for their affairs than their politics. President Obama is generally held in the greatest respect in this country. But we are a nation of contradictions. The thought of a non-white Prime Minister is anathema to most white Britains. Our National Health Service is our pride and joy. But also our greatest financial burden. Whoops! I hope I'm not boring you - but your interring essay gave me much, much food for thought. Thank you for an intellectual treat. Ron.

Finally, a positive fact based article about Obama...I enjoyed reading this one for its sanity and balance. One need not agree with this man's politics to acknowledge his honor, dignity and accomplishments but since I do agree wholeheartedly with them, reading this positive piece is a real joy.
One nit jumped out at me...you need to capitalize President in the first sentence as it is part of an official title.
Love your challenging thought provoking statement: "What is the point of capitalism if we have no social conscience?" That is the crux of the matter isn't it.

I am not sure that I am the one to decide the future of the world, the morality or obligation of free citizens, but do accept free will and the freedom tha America continues to offer. My sadness is that we all tske it for grnted.
Thanks for responding.
