Great work thanks. Boy do I relate to the accidents.
I think I had most of mine at hoime at night and it was probably when my Mum and Dad were having problems and then he left us when I was 8.
I know it is pessimistic of me but I really was waiting to see what kind of abuse was going on and really what the psychology major did was a kind of abuse. Wonder if they did the same to her at Kind or something.
Couple of errors I picked up...scrolled? should that be (scowled?)
And the other was when they were each made to stand up in front (of) all the other children.
Great work. I love true stories we also like getting DVD's of true life stories.

Thank you so much for the review and the comments and picking up on the spags. Yes, there is usually some kind of abuse or trauma in a child's life when they start haveing accidents. After we found another day care,, we had no more problems.

Very, very good. I know that is a simple compliment but it is true. We don't always get the perspective of the child and you were very wise to have Carol watch out for Don. That's a good thing.:-) I am glad you revived it. BTW my twins are fraternal but they do look a lot alike and most folks think they are identical. You almost had triplets. Have a great evening Beth, Carolyn

Thank you Carolyn, I really appreciate the review and the nice compliment. Carol was twenty-two months older but she seemed very mature for her age and always looked after her younger siblings.

I am so happy I didn't have to use daycare for my kids.
Jim didn't want me to work he said kids need their mother at home so I was there for the, When they started school it was just behind us on the next street. They literally in our back yard, they crossed and alleyway to go to school. This was very well written and interesting. Nancy

Thank you Nancy. Daycare sometimes causes a lot of problems for children. Parents have to be on the lookout for trouble and stop it before it goes too far. I do appreciate you reading and commenting on this.

I'm glad you revived this, although Tom has apprently changed the rules and we're only allowed to use the certificate once a year. (I revived four times not knowing it didn't count toward a rating.) Anywaym I love the story and hope you reported the daycare. Smart Carol to stay behind and get to the root of the problem. It seems Don couldn't figure out or articulate the problem.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. I wonder if you get enough ratings to put you on the Recognized or Best of the Best status if it will go there. I mainly renewed this because I wanted to use it as a chapter in my book.

Hi Beth,

This is superbly written. Your descriptions of your son were so clear in my mind, I could picture his sweet, sullen face as he approached. Very touching to read. Thank you for sharing.

I am glad you finally found a good daycare. Children are NOT all alike and they don't like the same things. I don't care what a psychologist says. I am a mother of 7 and I know! Good writing. Miss sally

Thank you so much for the review and the nice comments. You are so right. What works for one child can be completely wrong for another child.

this is very well written, beth, you did an excellent job writing this chapter where your son began to have problems with wetting himself because of someone trying to make him go to the bathroom with an audience.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. He had a serious problem with that as well as having to preform in front of the other children.

A good story, highlighting both the good and bad of daycare and a good way to use the sentance starter. It was a good read, flowed nicely and I'm glad it had a good ending.

I generally liked this story and have had first-hand experiences with situations like this since I have small children. I liked how you wrote the part about the maid leaving and described why Don was having accidents. Definitely felt for the child. I was a little confused by a few details though - if Don is four and one of his sisters is six (not sure how old the other one is), why would they be going to daycare together? Generally six year olds are in first grade. Also, I have never heard of a child, esp. a boy being potty-trained by the time he is one. Boys are generally potty-trained by age three. Also, there were several typos. The writing was great though.

Thanks for the review and the comments. I'm sorry I confused you. Don was a twin. He twin sister, Christi was the one who got hepititus. Carol was the older sister. She was six in February and wasn't able to start to school until the following September. I never tried to potty train Don. When he was very young I had a lady who kept them in her home and she trained him by the time he was walking. Don't ask me how.
