LOL!
This was a fanastic recollection of the antics of your fraternal twins senior year!
I am sure you were frantic as a mother could be while the events were happening, but, as time heals all wounds, the distance has made these events somewhat humorous.
Thanks for sharing!
Ugh!
I just noticed that this was labeled a general fiction piece! If this is the case, I appologize for doing the thing that I hate from other reviewers.... Personalizing that which is not personal.
Sorry!
A fine and believeable write anyway!

This was definitely not supposed to fiction. It certainly was a true story. and I need to fix that if that is how I have it labeled. Thank you for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed it.

The POV told me it was amemoir, but I was confused when I saw "General Fiction."
Glad to know my intial instinct was correct.
Thanks again for the fine read.

This is a good story, I can see how that could be double trouble. I never had twins one was enough. He put me through enough.

Well done, Beth. This is really cute. This makes me glad all 5 of my births were singles. I can't imagine twins, especially "naughty" twins. I like your story. Your posts are very easy to read. I don't have to wonder what you are trying to say, nor do I have to make corrections. I appreciate that. I have a friend who has two sets of twin girls and a single. They'll all be in high school at the same time. 'Nuf said. Just keep on writin', pat

Thanks Pat, I appreciate your review and comments. In addition to the twins, I had two more girls and the youngest was giving me even more trouble than the twins.

Once again you've got me laughing out loud, Beth. You are a remarkable storyteller. I hope you are compiling a book with all these tales. They're priceless! I do not see a thing you could improve upon in this piece--and I did look. Great job!

As the mother of twins, my sympathy goes out to you. They are either killing each other or colluding, I'm not sure which is worst! This is a lovely story describing the angst of being mother of twins, well written, interesting and fun.

Beth, as usual, you've had me rolling in my seat with laughter at your tales. How on earth are you still sane? I cannot imagine how I would deal with twins, kids are hard enough one at a time! Beautifully written. Just one SpaG I noticed...at the end you speak of 'antidotes' to give your grandchildren. Unless they have a disease or been bitten by something, I think you meant 'anecdotes'! LOL
Bless you!
Warmest wishes dear friend,
Kat

Thank sKat, Thats not the first time I've screwed up that word. You'd think I would learn. I'm glad you caught before someone, who would give me a poor rating, saw it. I'm glad I can make you laugh.

This is a great read! No wonder you have such a wry sense of humour - you poor thing. You have written a horribly-vivid description of this experience, and I think you should embarrass these twins as much as possible! I particularly liked the 'weird hyena laugh' - so teenage girl. lol

Thanks Jazh, I don't know if I dare let the twins read this. I'm sure they would be embarrassed and no telling what they might do to get even. I appreciate the review and comments.

I went to a small college populated by a majority of students who had gone to boarding schools. They were some of the wildest people I've ever met, unruly, quick to take a dare, and seemingly unafraid of anything. Looks like similar situations happen across the world, lol. Nicely done here, and you will have a lots of stories for your grandkids.

Funny, quirky, and downright frightening. It was bad enough being responsible for teenagers in my classroom--being the mother of teenaged twins, a nightmare. I laughed, shook my head, sighed, and rolled my eyes while reading this. I could see an anthology made up of stories/essays like this...devoured by mothers everywhere who find themselves at the crossroads b/w adolescence and teen years.

Thanks for your review. I have posted almost enough of them to make and anthology. I am thinking of doing that.

This was a real classic Beth. There's no end to trouble when youngsters want to get up to it. Guess that's what being young is all about. Once your older the world ties you down. But I must agree, twins are double trouble. And poor mom gets grey long before her time.
Loved your story.
