Bravo! Bravo! "Daydreaming" is such a beautiful ride. That's it exactly, as you travel vast distances to any place in your mind. Poem is perfectly written in prose, rhythm and rhyming. Well done.

A vacation of the mind sounds like one nifty idea to me - I'll be making a stopover in a houseboat on Lake Powell and visiting my ancestral villages in Norway and then going on a safari in South Africa since Jada has me in the mood for that! :-) This is fun!!! Your excellent rhyming couplets have been a pleasure to read. Brooke

Ahhhh! An African safari...yes! And I've always wanted to see the great fjords of Norway! On my next journey, I'll head east to Europe and maybe down to Africa! HA! Thanks for your lovely review. Sue :-))

A vivid imagination will always help to pass a boring day. This is a well written poem that makes for a very easy read. Good imagery and descriptive scheme.

Sweet poem! I could feel the plane ride and the anticipation of going to these beautiful places. Great Imagery and then suddenly the reality sets in that it is all in your mind.

Yes, once getting past all the airport drama and the plane is rolling, it sure feels good! Glad you enjoyed my little poem (and journey)! And thank you for your very kind review. Sue

Oh yes, I agree with you, it's great to have a little fun and go to different places even in our mind. I think it's good to write in fun too.

One of the best opening lines I've ever read. You've posted another first-rate poem, here. I think it's awesome.

Very cool! The cheapest, least aggravating type of vacation ever... You should go on virtualearth and check out the bird's eye view of some of your vaca spots, but in the meantime, nice job with the poem!

What would we do without our daydreams, Sue? This was a fanciful and fun journey you shared with your readers. Lovely flow and rhyme and cozy warm descriptions. Personally, I'll take Tuscany..... Your thoughts made me think of one hoping for the warmth of spring and winter to come soon. NO nits. Great job and fun poem. Joyce

Aloft I am and heading to the mountains for a spree -- Sue, my head spends as much time in the coastal mountains of the NW as it does here in FL. I keep hearing the grass ain't greener and not to chase happiness, but damn, I can't help myself. This poem made me feel less alone in my daydreaming. :)

Daydreaming is just another great creative outlet, isn't it?! I have been all over the U.S., but the one region I have not been to is the NW. Been wanting to go there for years, but just haven't. One day! Thanks so much for your lovely review. Sue :-))
