'Transcended' is an intriguing piece of poetry. This writer has in my opinion, stated the obvious. The use of more finesse would I feel, have taken other important issues into consideration. God, Faith and Nature are surely higher on the list on mankind's existence than art. It was a pleasure to read and review this thought-provoking poem.

you have it so right. everyone to each their own what is art. great tetracty, and think you have captured the essences of art. good luck in the contest.

The exceptional brilliance of your God given talent manifests itself with each stroke of your quill. If I had a 6 star left, it would be yours :}

Sue, where do you learn so much. You know so much about history and I learn a lot from your author's notes. Your poem is great and the photo fits perfectly.

Well, I've been as curious as a cat al my life. Can't stop feeding the ole brain! HA! Not a master of anything, but sure love to know a little about a lot. Makes life so full and fun. Am SO happy you enjoy the notes. There are interesting facts and history about anything. To learn just a tad about it is great! Thanks so much for your most generous review. With warmest regards, Sue

Your short, structured poem truly says what is true....
definitions are manmade... the art tells where the artist has been.
I like the idea... the poem is so huge... encompasses the entire world.

Very cool, I love art, written, drawn or constructed/sculpted. This poem really sums up what art is all about, making people think, making them wonder. New ideas are born that way. Great job! :)

I read this a few times to understand your message and this is what I see. We can portray human existence within the arts, but what makes art, art is an individual decision that cannot be defined by the whole of humankind.

Thanks for attaching your notes and Leonardo da Vinci' s drawing to your tetracyts to establish the inspiration for your work. I'm always curious about the writer's muse, source or motivation--and who better than Leonardo? I liked your title for this perfect example of the form.

I disagree with the latter part of this well written poem. The human body is a form of art. Male, or female, the nude body brings a higher level to the world of art. It causes a higher dimension in the work of the artist.

There will never be a consensus by all of humankind to be able to agree and define art. Although we all appreciate "expression" of the arts, it is so subjective (that's my point). In other words, it's not "definitive". I agree with you about the human body as being a form of art. Every great artist is tested with drawing the anatomy of man. Thanks so much for your very generous review! Sue
