Yes, how right you are, it must have been a tremendously moving and powerful sermon and day. And you've captured the essence of it here in this wonderful poem

This is wonderful. You managed to present the things of God in your beautiful work. The words are eloquent. The language lovely, and the rhyme is excellent. You did a geat job. As a Bible scholar, I rank this high. Thanks for sharing it. Sincerely

Well, with a review like this coming from a Bible scholar, I am truly honored. I have always loved this Sermon. Thank you so much for this wonderful review! With regards, Sue

The meek shall inherit the earth...hum, interesting one to choose and how true it will be one of these days. I'm not much for the "hand of god" thing, but just look at the weapons these days? They'll be the death of us all should some idiot decide to wage war...and look where we're at? War. I just hope no one is stupid enough to drop a big bomb.
Anyhow, I thought you did a wonderful job on this poem, it really sums up what is written about that particular event. :)

This is a printer. I love the way you have brought out the faith. Your use of the photo go perfectly with what you have expressed here. Best to you in the contest. This is one hard to beat.

Another winner, Sue, IMO. This is a beautiful poem retelling the story of the Sermon On The Mount. You brought it to life in a fresh, new way - not easy to do after 2000 years. I didn't see anything that needed correction or changing.
way to go - sherry

That is really good Sue. A great conversion from Bible to poetry.
Love how you wrap the poem up by bringing the story to the present day.

Nice job with the Sermon on the Mount.
I think that in "heed
To early prophets" you might want to consider changing 'to' to 'the'--just a thought.
Good luck.

This is a first-rate piece
of verse, with a smooth flow
to the words and to the
rhyme - an ideal entry for
the faith contest.
Good luck, my friend.

I've been there! Seen it, smelled the air, and I've read the bible in it's entirety more than once[as a child I must add] 5:30 rise and bible reading as a family[I wasn't that keen as you can imagine]. Two thousand years of pain and suffering for the children Israel, it's no wonder they don't believe he has been. Well done Sue, A faith poem it is!!! Good luck!

The message given in that passage was surely balm to the spiritually needy, regardless of their station in life. Thanks for the reminder that the simplest words and deeds mean the most.
