The thought captured so well in this poem. I know a girl who was a victim, and she still suffers from the after effects. Well written.

Your poem is very emotional from the artwork to your words. It flowed perfectly with a lot of emotion. I am sorry that your family member was violated. That is the worse thing that can happen to a person.

Yes, all the pieces can never be picked up again. Many dreams lost. Thank you very much for your review and kind remarks. Yours, Sue

A sad and powerful issue, this one, the victimizing of women. You express it very well and your selection of the art work is precious as well.

Your poem is powerfully written. This seems to be about a sexual assault, but that isn't clearly stated. Not that it is necessary, but it could be a non-sexual assault as well.
The colors and accompanying pic made the presentation perfect.
Thanks for sharing this with me.

Hi Sue,

Firstly, I'm so sorry that this has happened to somebody close to you - it must have been just terrible. Secondly, your poem is wonderful. The words are very powerful and full of emotion. Now you didn't say that it was a rictameter but I'm assuming it is. If so, am I right in thinking that line 6:

Traumatized and paralyzed

has seven syllables rather than eight? It could be an accent thing or I could be just plain wrong, but I just thought I'd point it out in case. Regardless of that anyway, it's a great poem with a beautiful but sad presentation.

Warm regards.

Roisin

Yeah, it's your Irish accent again!.....Ha! Just joking! Thanks so much for catching that. I like the change better, also. Whew...a close one. Thanks for your very kind review and help :-)) Sue

You're very welcome. I like that change too - seems to really get into the reader's soul. Great job.

This is the fourth really sad piece in a row this morning.
Where's Margaret when I need her? Well done and I'm so sorry to hear that this happened to someone you know and care about. I will never understand this as long as I live

There is no way to get one's head around it. The ripple effect is devastating. Thanks for your review, Jude. (maybe I'll write something happy today!) Sue

Right after I said "where's Margaret" she posted something!! We had a good laugh over it. Do you ever review Margaret Snowdon?
reply by the author on 03-Feb-2009
Isn't she such a sweet person? Been reviewing her work in "Nature's Glory" lately. The one about the Moon was very special.

So, you had a good laugh... (just what you needed!). Great timing. Do you two rescue each other? Ha!

Another well crafted piece my friend, well within the bounds of the rules. I wrote a Rictameter last night myself that i'll be posting on here later. I found nothing wrong with this piece, Take care and hope to see more soon

Yeah! You're talking my language now, my friend. I've grown old in this life and saddened by the failure of our judicial system to punish these creeps. Very soon now, I'm gonna be a big-time supporter of vigilante justice, I'm afraid. Of course, reading what I write, you've already realized that. lol

Reggie, I can only say that it is a good thing that this person lives overseas. As, I am certain I would be in prison right now. The ripple effect is so devastating that it can drive a completely normal, sane, loving person to rage. All I could envision for so long was me, personally, blowing their brains out. Now THAT is a horrible place for one's mind to go. I know you've seen the dregs of life in your profession. My hat's off to everyone in that field. Our society has deemed it okay to let the freaks walk amongst the innocent, while the judge knows with 90% certainty he will re-offend. I say, storm the Bastille! Thanks for your review, Reg. Always appreciated, Sue
