That is so true. Since I have been on this site my writing is beginning to improve. I am noticing my own mistakes instead of others noticing them for me.

I enjoyed the read.

Now THAT'S a great sign, isn't it. Yes, I've learned so much, that as I write, I see most of what the readers will see. If I ignore it and post it as is? Sure enough. They find it! HA!! Thanks for your review. Always appreciated. Sue

I think this is really ingenious. Such an amazing feat. You created a powerful rhyming piece of poetry from computer and internet terms, a subject that does not seem a likely theme for poetry. kudos

OMG! A six for this! I'm so honored! Your words have made my day. For you give my work your most esteemed review is so heart-felt. I love the internet and all our incredible technology out there. What I'm looking forward to is to see how and where nanotechnology takes off first. So glad you really liked this work. With warmest regards...Sue

Great title, visual and colors. You captured the evolution of the internet and your place in it so well, and you were able to include FanStory also--all while using strong rhyme--bravo!

I found fanstory by clicking an ad on facebook, where I have a page due to the hounding of my children - you're so right when you say something we never had for all those years becomes such an integral part of our lives - one day it's not there and the next one can't imagine life without it - good poem, Sue!

Yeah, it came to us so quickly! Keeps the mind sharp, I find. I use it as a tool of information for anything I want or need to know! I'm also on Facebook. I love staying in touch with all my kids there. The sharing of photos, and much, much more. Have also caught up with people I haven't seen for years. I love it. Thanks for your review, Brooke. Always appreciated...Sue

I enjoyed reading this poem - and it reflected much of how I think about the Internet. How ever *did* we manage before?! Just a couple of minor suggestions: "Then POW..." - someone told me that caps are not acceptable and that italics should be used instead. Also "A URL..." - should that be "An URL..."? A fun read, and I particularly like "I'm surfing now, this sea is so diverse!" Well done. :)

Hey Jazh! If URL was pronounced as a word, the "an" would be required. However, since the "U" sound starts like a "Y" as in yellow, the "A" is proper (but, thanks for watching my back!). I do agree with the all-cap rule, but I'm deciding to break the rule on this one because it the explosion word is there and the tech explosion did happen overnight. Being obstinate only because it's a light-fare poem. NO! Don't give me 4 stars because I broke this rule!! Thanks for reading it carefully. I appreciate that. You'll catch me cold with a bad one some day. I usually relent quite easily! HA!!! Sue

You're right - rules are meant to be broken, particularly in writing - how else would creativity happen? I'm glad I gave you five stars then! lol :) Shall keep watch...but you're not very satisfying to review, SPAG-wise, I'm afraid. :)

Believe me....I respond to spags in the most favourable way! And correct immediately. BUT, the POW, I want to keep. LOL!!!!

So, if you see a spag in future work, DON'T HOLD BACK!!!! Even nits that bug the hell outta ya! HA!

Awww... I found the last lines really touching. I even felt a little choked up :-). It's strange what we take so much for granted now with the internet, that was unheard of really not that long ago. How fast this world keeps changing! You have done a great job of this poem and it was a real, cool trip down memory lane of the worldwide web...

Cheers!
Daizie

Daizie, thank you for highlighting the lines you liked! It IS because of Fanstory that I am able to write (and still so much more to learn). Imagine what the net is going to be like in 10 years! The mind cannot even grasp it. Thank you so much for your review! Cheers! :-)) Sue

I'm still in awe of the immense beast that is the net, one can be swallowed whole and lost for days, since I've found fanStory I pretty much confine my activity's to the site only, I'm not sure if that is a good thing or not, there is so much still to learn on the Net, I'm a infant! But I know what you mean.

I use it as a tool. If I want to know something, you can bet I'm on google. Need directions somewhere: MAPQUEST! Ha! The list is endless. I love it. And love staying in "instant" touch by email. Thanks for your review! Cheers, Hitch....Sue
