You did great. It flows well and express a love that is not know or returned. Sad but well written and easy to understand. Good luck. Thanks, Jeanette

Thank you my dear Jeanette, as always. Love poems are not my usual "stamp", but this piqued my interest! So glad you liked this, tho' I don't know if I'll attempt too many more .. but we'll see! Bless you as always my friend xoxoxoxo

Excellent idea... borrowing from EBB, using adore.
First poem? I'd have never guessed.
In reverence I hang on every dulcet word you say -- my favorite line. Good imagery throughout.

Yes, I've always loved that line: "How do I love thee? Let me count the ways ..." Thanks for noticing that bit of "borrowing", and I'm glad you liked that "dulcet word" line. Gee these love poems are hard if one is not used to writin' em, but, shirk a challenge? Not me! Thanks again, and if you're in this prompt contest thingamyjig, best of luck to you! xoxooxoxo

I liked what you have written here. Yes breaking up a friendship can be hard to do.Holding onto a relationship can be easier then breaking up.

One might have to within ones life, we cannot be trod on.

"If only I could find a way to give you certain sign
If only I could lead you through the pathways of my mind
Instead when you are near, in darkened shadows I retreat
For I am not your station; merely dirt beneath your feet

So I must be content with dreams of how your skin may feel
In my imagination, our romance is pure and real
If only we were born another time, another place
I'd look into those violet eyes and tell you, face to face"

Facing up to certain situations can be hard to do.

Honeytree.

Thank you so much honeytree. So right in what you say. Life is a challenge tho', and everything along its long road is a mere hump I spose ... xoxoxoxoxo

If only I could find a way to give you certain sign ...the end of this sentence is awkward...perhaps an A in front of certain?

This sure could apply to me and touched my heart. You did a great job and luck in the contest. Blessings. L&P2u
