This is a nicely written remembrance of your life with your children when you were stationed in the military with your husband. I am so glad that you are able to recall these memories and to share them with us. You're writing is very well done and I enjoyed reading it.

We're fortunate to live in the UK where we complain constantly about the weather but rarely have the extremes you mention. I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying it must be when you know that nature can be that powerful and destructive. Cody knew, though, and I love the thought of him hiding in the bath! Thank you, Barbara, for sharing another event in your very busy life. Much enjoyed. Debbie

We're fortunate to live in the UK where we complain constantly about the weather but rarely have the extremes you mention. I can't even begin to imagine how terrifying it must be when you know that nature can be that powerful and destructive. Cody knew, though, and I love the thought of him hiding in the bath! Thank you for the help. I have made the corrections. I was taught in school it was A.M. I did some research, and my books had both, but the a.m. was suggested the most, so I will go with it.

My two girls and granddaughters are terrified of the first sign of bad weather. We've been on the edges of several tornadoes, but never a direct hit. Thank Heavens. Your pictures show what a direct hit means... by then it's too late to worry. Glad you all remained unscathed enough to talk about it.

I thank God anytime a tornado is predicted in our area, nothing seems to happen. My wife and I were in Vermont once when there was an earthquake, however. It sounded bad but little damage.
