Yes, girls are more likely to be picky eaters but I had one who ate everything and the other who wouldn't eat most things. I'm so glad you are preserving these precious memories and you FaceTime weekly! Glad to hear that Phoebe is becoming part of the family so quickly! I like your advice about Eleanor!

Thank you for the understanding. Yes, the snails will eat the garden. My husband will wage war on them, but we won't share that with the girls. Eleanor is a handful, but so cute while she's doing it. I have made the correction.

I know what you mean about kids' eating habits. When we were having lunch at Cracker Barrel recently my nephew's six-year-old daughter ordered 3 servings of chicken and dumplings and an order of macaroni and cheese. I see the logic in dressing in what you want to wear Christmas Day, as you don't want to waste a minute seeing what Santa has brought. Great update on Phoebe. Snail condos? So first grade. We are visiting our elder daughter, hubby and and three grandsons, they are all doing well, my son in law advises the state government, concerning rare and precious elements in mining. It is great having children around at Christmas as it seems to make Christmas that bit more exciting. I have the same problem with picky eaters by the way! My Grandson will eat anything, so he can be a guest at my table anytime, he is easily pleased.

It sounds like you are well qualified when it comes to understanding children and dealing with them! Fortunately last Christmas my Grandchildren didn't rise too early!
