There is a lot of implied wisdom in this brief poem. Question all suggestions, lesson, is a warning supposedly for young people nowadays. Yet this is a good suggestion for all people in all stages of life. Even the old senior citizens are scammed and otherwise taunted by hucksters. I wouldn't worry too much. Young people figure it out for themselves.
