I don't think it's uncommon for women to realize, when in a position where they must operate the "family business" on their own, how well they stand on their own two feet:-)
"Certainly. I thought we make that clear ..." -- change "make" to "made"
"... everything is on tract." Change "tract" to "track" -- tract is a plot of land and track is a path
"... give it another day and make of list ..." -- make "a" list instead of "of"
"one a.m." should be written one o'clock in the morning or 1:00 a.m.
"It would easier to live ..." -- add "be" easier to live ...
Despite the errors, this was an interesting chapter, Beth. I'm really into this story, and I'm cheering for Marsha!
