This is a great poem describing this horrible condition. I am so sorry that your family has to deal with this. There is a song called "Voices". It is used as a theme song for a WWE wrestler named Randy Orton. You may want to listen to it. To me, it seems to speak to this condition somewhat.

Life is difficult enough for us to navigate, but to compound the problems by adding something so trying and misunderstood as schizophrenia must make it merciless. Not only for the person but the family as well. Great job!

Great poem here. Once again you've captured a sentiment and a feel that is important to share. I've had relatives, including my father who battled depression and schizophrenia. We always walked on eggshells it seemed in his presence for fear of him "turning" at any moment. It is wonderful that you can convey these thoughts in such clear and rhyming words. Well done.

Thant would be very tough to cope with, I think I've known people with the condition, but you're right, they can be dangerous, I've always had a strong altar ego, I've been able to see consequential outcomes before they happen, as a gift, a perfect post Pam, writing wise, well done, blessings Roy

This is a very powerful poem that attempts to help the reader understand the horror of schizophrenia. I think it's great that you can write about it and give others a glimpse into the things you encounter. Thanks for sharing.

It's a good thing you are writing about schizophrenia, as many people do not know what the disorder entails, or understand it. In this poem, you have described what you have actually observed. I'm glad no harm came to either you or your sister. With meds, I hope your brother is doing well.

Pam, your poems enlighten me with so much about which I only had a vague idea about. Your words speak so much.

I am glad the meds worked for your brother and you, your sister and brother lived without issues.

This poem was well-written, but very disturbing. I have schizoaffective disorder, and it scares me knowing I could do something like this when I am off the meds. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Simple. Just stay on the meds, OK? Care for your brain

I love the compassion you have for your family and I'm glad to hear that your sister didn't hold it against him that he threatened her at one time. She also understands it isn't his intent but the schizophrenia. It's good to remember as we don't know what people are going through.
