It must be difficult to be.in a relationship with someone who one knows will go away seasonally or for a short time without knowing or staying in touch someway. Thanks for Sharing this writing no mention if it is fiction or non fiction but a tough subject to tackle for anyone.

Jim,
Your excellent poem is poignant in that you speak of a love now lost, using seasons as symbolism,;yet, there is a glimmer of hope at the end of the poem that he and she might be reunited.
Good luck,
Have a nice weekend,
Cindy

Jim, this is such a well written poem about lost love. Yes, I can understand your wanting to relive one more moment of her love. But without being too callous, it would be good to get along with your life. Don't you think?

This poem made me hurt, but I mean that in a good way. You got a strong emotional response in the reader, which is always a good thing. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

What a lovely, romantic poem. You should definitely write more in the romance genre. You do it very well. probably because your wife was the perfect romantic role model. Excellent job.

I see you were inspired by my poem, The Letter. I can't get enough of these romantic poems about love and writing letters. My husband and I have boxes of them from our long courtship. A pleasure to read today, my friend, and a beautiful song too. Sending you my best today as always.

I love this version of the oldie. Your poem speaks of our need to feel love. Even when it seems to have moved on, we feel the whispers of it in our hearts. Hope carries us through. I hope we all get to "meet in September!"

This is a fine love poem, for there is no calendar to love, it can come at any time in your life and in many shapes and forms. So I hope for you that this is a true story and that when the seasons revolve love will come again. kay

Lovely, Jim! I've got your video playin(my very first record by Brian Hyland) Your tender and sweetly composed free verse, of course, complements the song so well. I like the way you use seasons to colour the story and bring fresh hope in Autumn, your own special period of revival. Well done! I enjoyed this. Debbie

Oh, they just don't write songs like they once did... *sigh* I am going to keep my review short of your beautifully romantic poem because i want to go and enjoy this video! (I loved the song.)
