This is an interesting and, for Ayesha, a safe part of her life. At home the snake in the roof gives her nightmares, but no one at the moment is trying to kill or kidnap her. She needs this break.

Constrictor snakes scare the living daylights out of me. I doubt I would have been able to sleep that night. Lol. I love how you weave the two cultures together. It's like traveling abroad. I'm learning with each chapter. The descriptions also are on point with making each place distinctive. I really enjoyed this chapter. Gretchen

Another fabulous chapter and certainly worthy of a six for all the wonderful cultural information that you added. I also loved some of your poetic phrases like the "fresh tank of karma" and the "sinuous whisper" of possible snake movements from the roof.
I had seen a documentary that said that places where humans lived in peace with the pythons (because they are either deified or viewed as good luck) the pythons do not hurt the humans.
I'm also impressed with how much Ayesha has matured and is much more culturally sensitive than at the beginning of the book!

Thank you for your review and thoughtful comments, Helen. My daughter who lives in Queensland also lives in harmony with two pythons that have taken up residence in her garden. Ou grandchildren call one of them Lovely, but I can't remember the name of the other.
Thanks for the comment about Ayesha. I'm trying to show a gradual change in her outlook as the book progresses.

Oh my! Australian wildlife always struck me as dangerous but I'm glad that your grandchildren find them "lovely." So glad they are in the same country now. I think they are the ones who lived in the US before? Thanks for sharing!

This a very well written and edited chapter. You have good vivid details of the environment and of your MCs character and emotions. The chapter is safe, non-controversial and moves at a pace geared to your target audience.

You have given us a story that encompasses many aspects of life the scenery moves from House to road to beautiful nature contours. We are invited to explore nature in the relationship that exist between a dog and his master and also a viper and his human prey. You keep the story moving not only with physical movements but with the nature of the relationship challenges between all of the characters. Your story is one of intrigue and suspense. Thanks for sharing.
