There are some real shenanigans going on now, instigated by Suttikul. This is getting all very interesting. I like the transition then back to the hotel and the vivid description of tension as Ayesha clearly feels, rightfully, very unsafe and hunted. Another excellent chapter, Tony, with only one suggestion: 5th line from the bottom - 'heart' is mentioned twice very close together. Perhaps, 'he was, naturally, a very gentle man?' Thanks so much for that catch, Debbie. I'm not sure how it slipped through. Just shows how important a new set of eyes can be. I've changed it to He was, by nature, a gentle man and scarcely had the heart to wake her.

Aha! I suspected as much! I had noted that we only had newspaper reports to go by regarding Bruno's death. I found this a fascinating chapter in filling in some more details about his criminal backstory. Now that Ayesha is in custody, I'll be interested to see what happens next with Bruno's body. Meanwhile, what on earth has happened to poor Bapit??

I believe this is the 2nd part of your story that I am reading, but it seems like the death behind Bruno, Ayesha's husband is enshrouded in mystery so far, and that Major Suttikul is trying everything he can to crack this case. Quite the story!
