Your daughter sounds like quite the practical joker here and the dressing up prank was quire an innocent thing to do really and I am glad she did not lose the chance to receive here diploma. As for disturbing the boys whilst they were sleeping, this seemed a bit cruel. I expect this is all behind her now as when they enter the real word of work then all the fun stops, a fine post Beth, love Dolly x

I suppose she got her fill of pranks or at least for a while. Cool, move about the old woman. She at least got to see and hear what others were enjoying. No doubt she turned out to be a fine woman.

I think she was really nervous at the talent show because she was scared she would get caught. She is always getting in trouble believing what she reads on the internet. She is gullible and people can scam her.

This was entertaining, as always, and except for a few places, which I noted below, that gave me pause (and one that horrified me!), your story flowed nicely. Let's take a look:

the weird hyena shriek she had developed at the first hint of something amusing, [This really conjures up an image of your daughter.]

I never learned out they picked their victim, [How? Or perhaps "I never FOUND OUT ... though you'd still need the "how"]

If I'd known a little bit more about this man, I would have said "Thanks but no thanks." [Yes, Beth, I must say I'm surprised that you allowed someone who could have been a serial rapist keep your daughter in his house. But we all have 20-20 hindsight, don't we?]

I didn't realize how much I missed your novel, or how it stopped showing up in my inbox. At the time I read it, it was written as an open letter to your deceased husband. That was a twist that I enjoyed.

Thank you Jay. I'm sure the way I descibed the sound Christi made probably presented and unpleasant picture. It sounded the way I described but thankfully she outgrew it. I fixed the "how". Thanks. Christi was a close friend to the man's daughter, also a student. The family often had girl students over for slumber parties. They were connected in some way to the school, but I didn't realize he had a weird sense of humor and would help her break the rules. I should probably explain that so people would think he might be a pervert.
The story where I talk to my husband is on pause. I'll get back to it. I don't know why you stopped being notified when I post. I don't get notices for all of my fans either. I appreciate you weighing in on this one.

I thought expulsion was too harsh and that Dad, who helped her with a disguise, did her no favor. It did not teach her to accept her punishment. I thought the school was punished harshly by banning her from campus. If they did not allow her to attend any graduation parties would have been a decent punishment, but the talent show that her twin and her parents were attending was punishing them too.
Again another good chapter.
Best wishes,
Mary

Thank you for a great review. The school was strict but I could believe that guy whose wife was teacher at the school helped her breat another rule. I think she was pretty nervous and she did miss a lot of the fun things that went on so she did get some punishment. I was releaved it didn't include being expelled.

This is a very well told story and I enjoyed listening to it very much. I'm just sorry that Christie because you like Denver problem and I hope that she learns a valuable lesson from Patricia

Thank you Pat. I think Christi learned her lesson but it caused Evan and me a lot of concern when it seemed she was likely to ber espelled.
