Yes, some of the blind contests lend themselves to self identification, and others find ways around the requirement anyway. I enjoyed your strong story. You have lived a life of meaningful and sacrificial service. Best wishes for your entry.

... and you are not an action hero , yet? You must be a tough cookie. Probably I will be dead from the first attempt, and only by seeing blood:) Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings. I guess you have a winner.

It is an interesting life you had in this world and one everyone would like to read about. I think PTSD is very common among the military. Excellent work! Thank you for sharing!

I am working on a book about my career, Raul. Thanks!
Comment from Debbie D'Arcy
Nicely done! A difficult write in such limited word count but I liked the way you said a lot about yourself through your career which, let's face it, is often where we become who we're meant to be - if we're lucky. You've certainly braved a lot of challenges so well done for that. Your prose is clear, well expressed and error-free. I still don't know who you are but yours is my favourite entry. Well done! Debbie

This was amazing! I wish I had six stars. Thank you very much for your service and for putting your life on the line so that the rest of us could be safe. Your trials and sacrifices are appreciated more than I can say.

With just these few words, all would agree, stories from your career would make a great action-packed movie. You would also have great stories to post. Wait! I may have read one. You did a remarkable job with this well written summary of your career. Best wishes in the contest.

First and foremost, thank you for all you have done for people you do not even know. Thank you for being willing to put yourself in untold danger in order to keep us safe. You are one of the angels who walk among us, and I respect and admire you with all my heart.
Second, I loved the way you have presented this: a very Joe Friday/Just the Facts, Ma'am style that I would expect from someone with your training and service. It wasn't DRY; it was informative. It wasn't dull by any means, just honest and straight forward and free from frills.
I commend you for this excellent entry, and I have a feeling I might be seeing it again...in the winner's circle. Good luck to you.

I wish I had Six Stars to give! My brother was a life long Marine Semper Fi! Thank you for all of your good service. As a teacher, I caught one child molester who was a mother's boyfriend just released from prison. My ten year old special needs student had a man's ring on a chain around her neck. One question from her trusted teacher, "Who gave you that pretty ring," led to a swift move from authorities. The child was placed with a responsible good family member. I felt like a hero, like you, that day! Maybe a Charlie's other angel?
You deserve to win this contest, to match the most definite best place in Heaven that will be held for someone like you. Thank you is not enough, may you lived to see one hundred and more. God Bless!/
