Wow. You life has been one I envied until your recent harrowing experiences. Never a dull moment for my bestie down under. If you were a rocket on a launch pad, I am unsure whether I'd watch to see a successful lift-off or catastrophe.

Lol. Me too. It hasn't been an easy week, but therefore it will get better! We all have times like this I am sure. Thanks so much for your encouragement - I appreciate it a great deal.

Oh my dear! I am so sorry for all your problems. Obviously people who are not kind to dogs are also unkind and rude to people. I have been praying and will continue to for your concerns. Hugs.

You have had a week of tests for the ages. Now you can start having a good week. Don't let a manipulative bully make you feel foolish for watching out for two animals who can't speak for themselves. This post falls under the label of "you can't make this stuff up." Grwat post. Hope it gets better. Gretchen

Thank you so much Gretchen. I really appreciate your encouraging words. I know many of the neighbours in his street (around the corner) as well as all those in my own and they are all great neighbours, except for this lot. I have been amazed at the change in the dogs, now they have full tummies, not at all aggresive as they were before. Poor things. He was angry because he knew he was guilty of neglecting his responsibility and feared getting into trouble. No, this is stuff I wouldn't think to make up. Lol. Tomorrow will be better. Thanks again.

You are doing a brave thing, Wendy, but I am worried about you. I don't think those people are very nice. You had a very bad day. Maybe something a little stronger than tea?

Yes, I was VERY tempted tonight! Lol. No, they are not nice. This guy was scared about a report being filed because he knew he had not fed and watered them daily. I am 100 % certain. It may be her father. There was someone in the house for a short while on Easter Sunday evening as I saw a light on. Other than that no one in, for at least ten days. (But both the owners lied to me for three months last year about getting the fence fixed last year when the dogs broke it and entered our yard. I realise now the dogs were desperate to escape and find water (They immediately drank all Sunny's outside water), and probably food. They kept promising it would be fixed "straight away" but there was one excuse after another. It took three months.) All the people in my street and neighbouring streets are are wonderful neighbours, except this one family, but we back onto the side of their property around the corner. Anyway, I'm fine, don't worry. Making it into a story helped me as I felt I was talking to friends who would understand. Thank you again.

Oh, what a calamity! Luck has escaped you today, my friend. I lived in Las Vegas for a few years and know all about luck (lol). It will return to you.
I think that angry man lied about feeding the dogs. But I wouldn't file a report now - he may respond with a physical violence.
I have free unlimited roadside assistance through my car insurance, though they don't replace batteries - all they can do is jumpstart your car or bring it to a service station for repair.
Looking forward to the next chapter of your saga.

Yes, I am sure tomorrow will be better. Thank you for your very kind and encouraging review. I am sure he was lying about feeding the dogs. I think he was angry about me filing a report to animal welfare because he knew he was guilty of not doing what he'd been asked to do, and feared he would be in trouble. All the surrounding neighbours noticed that the dogs were dreadful early last week, but much more settled later in the week (once they were properly fed). Yes, we too have free roadside assistance, but they will bring a new battery if that is needed and we just have to pay for the battery, not the call-out. And I really hope that is the end of the saga! Lol.

I'm genuinely sorry Wendy, you've done nothing wrong, and I think you did the right thing by reporting them, they sound like a nasty lot, I was only talking to some one about the desert and valley experiences and here's you in the depths, Psalm 30:5, and Deuteronomy 32:4, bless you Wendy, for being so kind, Roy

Take heart Wendy, you are doing all the right things and you are a hero in this story. That angry neighbour is angry with himself for not feeding and watering those dogs. But ultimately it is the owner of the dogs who is to blame, they chose to leave them and they chose an untrustworthy person to attend to them.
When something goes wrong in life it can sometimes have a knock on affect and other things seem to go wrong too. I have been in this situation from time to time and very recently when laws were changed in Spain and banned all UK drivers with a UK licence from driving their cars. It has been a nightmare and it has lasted for over 12 months! I have had to fetch my shopping on the bus and it has totally exhausted me, there are no home deliveries here. Finally it is all over, but the stress has been unbelievable.
Take in a deep breath and know that what you are doing is right Wendy. I dare say that you have a new battery now and I hope that you reported that these dogs have been abandoned. That angry neighbour also needs reporting as he should not be aggressively attacking you in this way. If the authorities speak to him he will behave aggressively to them too.
You stand your ground and do the right thing Wendy, good luck.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words and thoughts. It is a bit discouraging, but "tomorrow will be a good day" as Captain Sir Tom Moore used to say. I greatly appreciate the six stars. Much valued.

Glad you mentioned him as he was so very positive and this is the reason he lived so long! x x x

My husband received his biography for his birthday this year. Last year or maybe the year before I wrote a short poem about him. An amazing man!

Oh, Wendy! It has been an awful week and all you have been doing is helping the dogs! So sorry. I'm also praying for spiritual protection for you as it seems like you are being attacked from all sides. ð???ð???ð???
