I like poetry that tells a story. How a small amount of water ends up being swallowed up into the ocean. Not sure if we're suppose to interpret this as a good thing a bad thing or just an observation. Is the water a metaphor
for a person being swallowed up in a sea of humanity? The rhythm and rhyming are really good.

Nicely done, Barry. You could have completed the cycle.
That little drop of water
That started from some hill
And started on its journey
Then in the sea did spill
Now changes to a vapor
In strong rays from the sun
And falls again as rain
Then down that hill will run.

Beautiful.
I love the way you built the water in strength. Your choice of wording was perfect.
Like the water, it flowed nicely and has a wonderful rhythm.
I live in a valley and often watch the water collect and gather in force as it rushes down the mountain. Sometimes it is so violent it destroys. Sometimes it gently lays silt on the fields.
Thanks for the great read.

The rhyme and rhythm work very well to suggest the movement of the water and its growth from source to estuary! The theme seems to symbolise the flow of life itself, analogous to the human journey!

Magical. Great contender for the contest. The meter and rhyme are fantastic. Your poem really tells a story and builds to a literal and metaphorical conclusion. I loved it. Jacqueline
