Wendy, Congratulations on your win!
Great poem! It's consternation in good taste!
There is venom in your pen
and it's such an apt poem I could apply to some people I know in my town. (Only a few).
It's really witty. Great work, Wendy,

Thank you Cindy - I had fun writing it. It was really about me!! Lol. Always tired. But the real "me" will be elsewhere! And also getting a new improved body.
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for making the second contest. I live in Australia and by the time woke up and got to the computer and saw it, the first was full.

That?s why I didn?t make the first contest, Wendy. I was too late.
Good luck in the contest!

Cute, but as one reviewer told of my entry how big of a stone will you need to carve all those words, and can you afford it? idk, but Old MacDonald should have Stop. Look and Listened.

The image plays well with your epitaph :) What you wrote is true, it reminds me of Mufasa's little lecture to Simba in King Lion (the Circle of Life).

This comes from website kidadl.com (15 best Mufasa's quotes). "Yes, Simba, but let me explain. When we die, our bodies become the grass, and the antelope eat the grass. And so we are all connected in the great Circle of Life.""

Chisel it in stone and lay it o're my grave!
But I haven't been tired my life through.
I wonder how simple a cure for those who are would be - a multi-vitamin, antihistamine before bed, a better attitude?
I really like your work. Best wishes.

So, unless you're cremated you'll achieve your desire
so don't let your loved ones burn you up in the fire.
The worm may have turned 'ere you burned as a tree
in the bushfire consumed so you we can't see
Ensure that your tombstone is marble my dear
then come hell or high water your epitaph's clear:
Gone but not forgotten!

It's a well-written epitaph. While it is witty, it is also truthful about most of our lives. The rhyme scheme is on point. The graphic is funny as heck. We all end up as compost at some point. Good luck in the competition.

What a fun and entertaining way to look at the cycle of life. This is a very clever entry for the contest. No nits - I very much enjoyed the read.
