This poem describes God and talking with Him. War, or the end of it, is one thing we all prayer, even soldiers.
I don't think you need the word 'an' in lines two and three.
Keep writing ands stay healthy.

This is a prayer that is always offered up to a God that humans believe is theirs alone. They imagine Him in many guises in many religions not realising He is above and beyond our petty squabbles.
