Thank Elizabeth. I may not be completely reformed, but at least I don't seem to feel the need to get even. Maybe it is because no one on crosses me any more.

Ooooh, so soul searching. I don't dare delve that deep into my stuff. Kids can be mean, and adults too. This reminds me of being selfish with a puppy we had. I didn't let some neighbors pet it and I know that hurt them. Not nice... But lovely post Beth..

Thank you so much. I started out young being bad. I did some worse things to a neighbor. He used to pick and me and I chase him with a broom. I couldn't have gotten away with it at home, but I was at my grandparents home. I guess I wasn't a very nice kid.

Revenge is sweet. I experienced the same need to get even when I was young and even into college. Most times the victim deserved it. Sounds as if Linda was a spoiled brat. I hope she learned something about herself from the incident.

I feel for the little girl but you were small also. And you learned not to be devious like that. Your story is vivid, almost like watching a movie. You have clear scenes and your writing is excellent.

Kids do need people their own age to interact with. In a lot of ways, kids do their own policing. Without 'peer justice', kids have a hard time learning how to interact together.

Thanks Lee. I truly appreciate your review and six stars. Yes, I was a conniving and vindictive little kid. Girls have minds that can be pretty underhanded, while guys usually do something more physical.

Thank you Judy. It might have been a better story if my actions had been found out, but I got away with it and that left only my conscience to punish me.

Thank you Mary. Thinking back, I would think someone so young would come up with a plan like that, but I remember knowing exactly what I was doing and knowing I could get away with it if I played it right. I was a little spoiled stinker just like she was.
