Hi Sandra, it a beautiful tribute you paid to what appeared to have been a lovely man. I never came across him on this site and I'm now sorry that I never did. Your poem is beautiful. A wonderful contribution. Ulla xxxx

-This is beautiful, Sandra,
from the picture, presentation,
and your poem.
-It is very moving and hard
to write about because you
capture so many emotions.
-I did not know him well, but
I got the feeling he was very kind.
-I do not know how he managed
to deal with the pain he must
have encountered that day that
no one will forget.
-You have a beautiful ending
to the poem, and I think he
has to be at peace now.
-Thank you for sharing this.

Thank you, Pam. It took me ages to get this one right. He was a very compassionate man, always thinking of others. I'm really glad you thought my tribute to August was a good one. Thanks so much for the lovely comments, my friend. I really appreciate them. Love and hugs. Sandra xxx

You are very welcome, Sandra. Your review almost brought tears to my eyes.
The final segment will be a poem:) How is your Betrayal book going?

This is a very beautifully written tribute to a fine poet. I didn't have the pleasure of knowing him but I've heard so many good things about him as a person and his poetic skills. So sorry to hear of his loss.

Thank you, Dolly. I didn't know him half as much as I would have liked to. He was a remarkable man and did so much for charity. I'm glad you liked my tribute to him. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

Your tribute poem is excellent in every respect--skillfully composed, vividly descriptive (giving specific details about his character and giving nature)--sending a powerful message. Would you mind clarifying "act of evil"?

Thank you for reading my tribute to August, Janice. He was a remarkable man and poet. It's so sad the way we are losing so many of our best authors on Fanstory.
August was very badly hurt in the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. Those evil people are hopefully suffering in hell now. Thanks again, my friend. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

Heartrending lament. Stunning tribute--I feel as if you've deepened my understanding of August--with whom I never had interaction. I read a few of his stunning poems. This inspires me to read more. Well done.

Thank you, Liz. He was such a kind man, regardless of his own pain, he would always help others. And, he was an excellent poet. We keep losing our talented authors, it's a bit worrying! Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

Thank you, Sandra! You gave me a whole new dimension about this fellow writer. I didn't know about all his other good deeds. I didn't know that "an act of evil took him away." Are you referring to the injuries from the 9/11 attack? I keep learning more from all these tributes!

Yes, it was the 9/11 attack, but not at the Twin Towers, it was at the Pentagon. He was badly injured that day. It's so sad, those terrorists who did this will know now that they won't be getting all those virgins for being so good and murdering the infidels. Makes me so angry. Thanks Helen, for reading and your nice comments. I do appreciate it. Warm hugs. Sandra xx
