This is an exciting chapter. You write well and build tension very well. Michael is an interesting character as he is thinking clearly even though injured and is more concerned for the child than for himself.

Yes, Cynthia tried to make Michael a bad person but I think he cares for the child enough to worry about saving her. Thanks for the review.
