What a beautiful tribute of a wonderful man and writer. I remember him fondly from my earlier years at FanStory. He was not only an excellent writer but a kind encourager in reviewing my stories and poem. I'd so look forward to running into him again, and was saddened to hear first of his illness and then of his passing. I will miss him!

You did a great job, Judi, with your tribute to Mastery. I enjoyed reading it. I like the way you wove his life story around several of his books. The image is perfect, too. Your lines flow smoothly and your words are straight from your heart. I like how you concluded about writers who have passed are still near to us.

Thanks for your review and comments. I reread the books of some of my favorite authors who passed on, like Lillian Jackson Braun and her "Cat Who" series. I'll be rereading Bob's, too. judi

Thanks so much for your review and comments. He occasionally wrote poetry, but I was especially fond of his private investigator series with Cleve Hawkins. He was extremely talented, and generous. judi
