JLR,

This is really fun. I like the way you speak so sweetly to your true love and romance her with your words. How could anyone resist? *smile*

Thanks for sharing this unique poetry style!

Very well done. This loving request would be hard to say 'no' to, With such captivating imagery in a proposal, it is quite attractive and reveals a dedicated heart.

'I will cherish the day we wed
on your heart I will not dare tred.' ... Who could refuse?

Ralf

Hello JLR, a well met challenge. A lovely love story full of promises. Quite an inviting poem that SHE will not be able to resist I would think. 'to fit you like a hand to glove' good use of metaphor and an all round lovely poem.
Come live with me (did that include marriage LOL?) Happy New Year to you and yours - regards Dorothy x

"That 'tis your sweet ripe lips I see
so make me glad, my plea to thee!" I'm falling in love. This poem is so sweet, I love it. The way it flows so naturally, to how lovely the words are. It makes you feel like it's written to you.

This man is really setting out their married life in this poetic wedding proposal. I hoped they talked about having chilidren before he brought them up.
You forgot the couplet at the end of the poem as stated in the form definition.
Good luck, keep writing and stay healthy.
Happy New Year
Joan
