You chose and gorgeous picture to illustrate your poem and you show us the transition into the season of Fall. I like all your rhyming couplets but the first doesn't quite rhyme for me, anyway.

What a wonderful poem about autumn. Its imagery and visuals bring me back to the East Coast where I lived for many years before moving Wes.
Wonderful rhymes and flow.
As morning creeps into the dark nights view
a dose of chilled air brings shivers to you

Autumn to me is a magical season. The transition is so obvious yet so beautiful. Your well written poem exposes your deep feelings for this time of year and resonates with me. Lovely.
If I might I think the line that has 'before December' would flow better if you said >'ere December.

Your poem is excellent--well-written and vividly descriptive. Though I LOVE fall, I can understand the feelings of those who truly miss summer. I also love spring--mid-spring. The last couplet reveals an appreciation for fall.

Melissa thanks, much, yeah I am a tough old bird. I had another ER visit, with some internal bleeding, dealing with blood thinners is a bummer, but life goes on...
