Wow! You pulled out all the stops and answered the free verse challenge well. You peppered the free verse with internal rhymes, lots of alliteration, consonance and even onomatopoeia! And you speak for many of us who are "old" and need to write past stories that want to be told.

This felt as real as can be--and gave a dew dimension to the definition of "muse!" I am sure you've had the experience of picking up your pen, unsure of what you will write--and suddenly a seemingly fully formed poem comes flowing through the ink as if you were merely the medium, not the poet!? This gives substance to that experience while still maintaining that eerie and ethereal theme! Thoroughly enjoyable read!--Karenina

An extremely creative poem. Fantastic descriptive imagery and visuals. The ghost of winter came to life with your words (lol). This made me nostalgic for East Coast and their winters. We don't get them here in Nevada.
