This was a beautiful suite of haiku that highlighted the wonder of the moon and its different phases throughout the year. The artwork is lovely as well. I enjoyed this informative piece. Well done!

Another fine poem, Gypsy--I wasn't aware the months had their own descriptive names. I've got my own rated R names for them, but this is a family writing site!

What a stunning Haiku suite. Breathtaking! I didn't realize there are so many different moons, for all months of the year. I was born in October, so that is Hunter's moon or moon of the falling leaves. You did an incredible job on the presentation, my dear; I thoroughly enjoyed this, thank you for sharing.

So many colourful moons here and if the moon could speak it would be grateful for such an in-depth consideration of its seasonal show of colour, much enjoyed, a magical write, love Dolly x

Striking suite--vivid imagery--in your face vs obscure metaphor (not my strong suit). The footnote merits a post in itself. I crave the strawberry moon! Cheers. LIZ

Wow! You covered the whole year of full moons in suite of twelve haiku! Great job with this! I especially like how each moon makes us aware of some aspect of nature, showing us a time when mankind was much more tied to natural events.

Thank you for sharing this tour de force. I had not heard of most of these names, including the "Corn Moon" and appreciated learning their Native American origins. The artwork you selected is very appealing along with the examples at the end. Big cheers- Joan

I think you have outdone yourself with this one. This would make a beautiful children's book! I can see the beautiful images now, as the kids are doing a lesson on Native Americans making a to-do list of sorts for the year. Great writing. Nicely put together!
