Nice thoughtful for kids and adults alike. I did not know that the Galapagos were also
destroyed by the introduction of goats, pigs and rats.

Yes, they gradually destroyed the turtles natural habitat, which, up until then, they had had to themselves. So sad, isn't it. Thank you for reading my letter T, Lobber, I really apprecaite it. Have a nice day. :)) Sandra. xx

Hello Sandramitchell,
T is for Turtle, Tortoise and Terrapin - worth enjoying!
Lucid as well as perfectly matching the theme wording, Captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and transparently depicting all the ins and outs of the chosen topic.
This line is particularly noteworthy: Turtle, Tortoise and Terrapin are all names for the hard-shelled, egg-laying reptiles. But, they are all turtles.
Style: Verse + Prose, Impressive!
Pictures enhance depth and beauty of the theme.
Research and Presentation - LAUDABLE!
Interesting and Educative!

What a wonderful review, RP, you have made my day! I'm delighted you like the style, as I think it's one of the biggest points in capturing the younger readers. If I can get them to enjoy my brief page, then, hopefully, they will want to learn more about the animals.
Thank you so very much for the six stars, I appreciate both your review and the stars, a lot. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Well done, for a twelve year old this is ideal. The opening would grab a child's attention and formatted in a way to help them remember basic facts. You provided visual aids for every specimen and you kept the facts straightforward and didn't overanalyze it on the kid.

What a lovely review, thank you so very much, Ben. What you've said is so encouraging, it's quite hard to get the right balance and you've put a big smile on my face. Thank you also for the lovely sixth star, that was the icing on top! Thank you, have a lovely day! :) Sandra xxx

Wow.
Just exceptional as always.
I LOVE all of your most interesting
facts.
I had no idea there were 3 types.
Now...I will impress my husband
should we ever come across one of these.
He'll say 'There's a turtle!' I will
gently, but most surely correct him with
'That is a tortoise...and let me explain to
you the difference.'
Ah, you are making me so smart!!
Just loved this!!
Blessings...

LOL! I love it. I hope you come across a tortoise on your travels with your husband, that would be so funny. Thank you so much, Irish, for this lovely, fun review, and all those stars, I really appreciate both. Have a wonderful day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

My daughter is not here currently but I don't remember if I told you or not but she was very into the idea of the piece. I think it's smartly written as I could see a 10-12 year old still being interested in some of the more obscure facts presented in the piece. Keep up the great work, thanks for sharing. Later daze.

Aw, thank you, Dawn, your words are so encouraging, and I really appreciate them. I wanted a 'grown-up' picture book for Eric, one that he'll find interesting enough to learn from. Mind you, I've learnt loads doing the research for it. That you have given me a six, is just so nice, thank you with big hugs!! Take care, my dear friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hi Sandra, tell Graham...that looks like one happy turtle...great job done...

this is my sisters favorite creator of all time...

ok story time...every one sit down...my sister lives in Florida...gets really hot there...one day when I went to visit her...she was putting a foil pan on the ground with water in it...when I asked her what she was doing...she said...watch for it...a little baby turtle came crawling out from under a bush...and crawled in the water...she didn't know if there were more...but with no rain...she watered them everyday...I thought that was so sweet...but I know she loves turtles...and so do I...their cool...

I love your notes my wonderful amazing friend...I know a little about the slow riders...from mom and pop's home in the swamp...I was always moving them off the roads...they move along minding their own business...and only try to take your finger off...if you piss them off...

and as for the female temps being higher...their a lot like humans females....we have a rep to protect...always on the move...even when were not...

this is one of my favorites...I love the pictures of the turtles...Graham of course in first place...and I love your description of all the little low d riders...very well written story...sweet you...fun to read...God Bless...love you in bunches and bunches...Linda xxoo

LOL, I love story time! You're going to have to keep this up, Linda, they are so smiley nice.
Graham is so jealous of your sister, he'd love to have some terrapins in our pond, but the only one of the three Ts we have in England is the tortoise. And they were brought in from other countries. To have a baby turtle come into for a drink in your sisters garden is so sweet.

Graham loves me reading your reviews out to him, I think he likes me telling him what you say about his drawings, Lol!!

Thank you so very much for the lovely six stars, darling girl, and for another brilliant, fun, and so nice to read, review. You have started my day on a high!!

Next is U, and my goodness, what I'm learning about this one is so unexpected!

Have a wonderful day, my dear friend, and stay safe. When you talk to Noah, say hello from me. Lots of love and biggest hugs! :)) Sandra xxxxxxxxxxx

you and Graham are always so welcome...I love reading about all these guys...it's very interesting...I think Eric is going to love this book...does he know about it???...

I sit looking in this box with the books you sent...and it breaks my heart because I can't read them with Noah...and I want to read them with him...I don't even know if the library is open there...but Kristy is still standing strong about people staying away from the kids...I guess you never know...sigh...but I do miss them...all..

well I have one turning 17 (Grace) this month...so I'm off to the bank to put her birthday money in there...I no longer give the grandkids gifts...they are getting older...and have their own preference of what they like to buy...sigh...

so I'm getting my butt off this couch...and out the door...you and Grahaam have a wonderful day...so glad yours started with a high...LOL...can I have some of what your flying on...LOL...it's a beautiful day...yesterday we had winds of 80 to 100 miles per hr...it's called something like desercho???? but it did a lot of damage...not to my house...but many around me...and Chicago saw winds of 112 mph...it just came on...it's like a land hurricane...never heard of them until yesterday...we didn't have electric most of the day...and all night...and thousand are still without...
I'm off...much love to you both...and the biggerest of hugs...smiling big back at you...xxoo and say hi to Ian for me...I keep him in my heart and prays...

I'm glad your home was safe, I would hate to think of you on your own there and your home falling around your ears. Those winds must have been so scary! You take care, my lovely friend!!! Sending you extra warm, protective hugs, and lots more love! xxxx

These chapters are so informative. I congratulate you and say "Well deserved" for the 1st prize in Book of the Month. My son is a Dr, if Herpetology so I am familiar with the Turtle and the Tortoise, but Terrapin is new to me. I love the info on how to guess the sex of the upcoming births. This is truly a well covered subject.

Thank you so much, Ralf, for this really nice review. And thank you for the congrats for the BoM, that is so kind of you. In my researching, it does say that the Americans call terrapins, turtles. Which they are, but a bit different. Thank you, again, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

This is an excellent writing in every respect. The facts, given in specific detail to distinguish the thee types, are fascinating. Many points stand out--especially the weight some of these animals get to be and how gender is determined!

This is very interesting and informative, especially since I've raised box turtles and still have a few. I have one in a terrarium right now. He's still young. They make great house pets and are more sociable than people realize. Keep up these wonderful articles!

Bless your heart! Thank you, Yvonne. Graham wanted some, but I didn't think you could raise them at home. I think I'll have to look into it now, seeing as you are the second person to tell me you have some. Are they easy to raise? We have a small pond with a few fish in it. Thank you, my dear friend. Sending you an extra hug. :)) Sandra xx
