Spine-tingling stuff--a "waking dream" in itself is scientifically explainable--but yours foretold an entirely unexpected event! Five stars right there! Cheers. LIZ
(TITLE: Agian s/b Again; fortune tellers words s/b teller's; went into our bedroomS s/b bedroom; hyphenate laid-back and blue-collar, don't hyphenate fortune teller---by the way--I have to look these up!)

Thank you Liz. I appreciate you pointing out my errors. I can't believe I didn't see that I spelled the title wrong.

I imagine that was very unsettling, you getting the premonition and then it happening a few days later. Your Vacation sounds nice, well, despite the sales pitch. Your piece is well-written, very interesting start to finish. I look forward to reading more. I did find one thing you might want to look at. I'd never work at that that.

Hi there Beth.
a nice, disquieting tale a bout a future seeing - or premonition eh!
Fits in well with the story.
A spotted a couple of what I thought were 'sticky' paragraphs you might want to look at. I've made changes, but if they are not to your liking, leave them as they are.
:
I closed my eyes for just a second, and suddenly, it seemed I was standing by an assembly-line with a group of people--packing heavy equipment into boxes. A young man wearing a suit walks in and says, "I need everyone's attention." He seemed upset and proceeded to chew everyone out. "If you people want to keep your jobs, you are going to have to speed up production. You're falling behind, and there have been too many errors lately. Some of the boxes are incorrectly packed ."
"I just had the weirdest thing happen," I told you. "I wasn't even asleep. I closed my eyes for just a second, and this little dude - who I've never seen before - was chewing me out. It was like I was on an assemble line. What on earth was that all about? I would never work at a job like that. Am I losing my mind? It was so real, I thought I was actually there. However, it only lasted a few seconds."
and this:
"This company's not going (to) make it.
Good luck with your book.
Regards Pete.

Hello Pete, Thank you for reading this and for your suggestions. I'm always open to ways to improve what I've written, and I like your suggestions so I using them. I really appreciate it. I nominate you for a reviewer award but I'm afraid I've used my limit for the month.

I really enjoy reading your diary. So many interesting thing happen to you and yours.
Typos:
A young man in a suit walks (walked) in and says, "I need everyone's attention."
I would never work at a job that (like) that.

Beth, the most remarkable part of this chapter is certainly the vision you had about the man-in-the-suit and the production line. I had once, long ago, something similar. I had a clairvoyant dream and actually found a missing lady. She was okay, thank God, and could return to her family. Strange, those things, but I know (like you) from experience that they really happen.
Lost a job, but had a nice vacation! And almost had another property bought. Good, you could escape that at the last moment.
Nice write, as always, Beth!

Thank you so much for your review. I'm glad you understand because I was afraid everyone would think I made that up. I will never understand why these things happen but I know from experience that they do.

I think that's wonderful that you want your children to know you two as a couple and not just as their parents;-) I want my kids to know me as Melodie and not just as Mom!
Adored your story, it kept me on the edge of seat wondering what was next!
I appreciate and thank you for sharing this lovely piece and well as wishing you many blessings to you and your family;-)

Again, I enjoyed reading your memoirs. I'm happy you are doing this. Writing things down is important.
A young man in a suit walks in and says. "I need
everyone's attention." (comma needed after says)
We're going to have a meeting later on this morning." (you can omit 'on' it's not needed)
I didn't have a job, and the kids had another couple of weeks before school started again. ('again' isn't needed)

So glad that you found work, again. It's tough to not have a job when you count on the extra salary. I keep wondering how you can remember the detailed information; evidently you had a diary.

Thank you for the review and comments. No I didn't keep a diary back then. All that is as clear to me now as it was then. My kids keep wondering how I remember too. i have a much better memory than they do. That don't mean but short term memory is all that clear. LOL
