What horrible times you had a rough patch in life. I do hope things get better for you soon. Your chapter is well-written, interesting start to finish. I look forward to reading more.

Hi Beth, I always enjoy reading this narrative of yours. It brings your life to me and I enjoy it. I only found a couple of things.
When you went to began to load the rocks from = When you started to load the rocks from
and a man was picking up something up, = and a man was picking up something,
All best. Ulla:)))

Thank you Ulla. I'm so glad you are enjoying it. I seem to be remember the bad stuff instead of all the pleasant things. I do appreciate you pointing out those things I needed to correct.

Yes, but I think you do that so it all finds its balance. Everything can't just be good. Life is a mix of good and bad. xx

An eventful chapter again, Beth. But, as you stated, all things didn't work out well for you. My, one little disaster after another, ending with the rock-garden books falling of your car and happily picked up by a stranger. No, it definitely was not meant to be.
And the troubles at your work...sometimes all come together.

I always enjoyed reading your memoirs. You're doing a good job.
It wasn't long before he had the slab poured for the house, and he was starting up with the walls. ('for the house' can be omit, it's understood)
He might have have run over it with his bike. (one too many 'have')
When it was time to return the library books, i got distracted and laid them on top of the car. (books, I?? got)

Thank you for the review and comments. I wish I could nominate you as a reviewer again but FanStory says I already did. My son often confessed to something he didn't really do. I guess he knew he'd probably gotten away with some things we didn't know about. LOL

Sorry about the many disappointments from the puppies, the money dishonestly taken by your relative, the rock garden that was not to be. I think you might consider just a little shorter posts as there are so many stories in each one.
"your parents house " (parents')
"more money.re money." (extra stuff after period)
" i got distracted" ( I )

Thank you for the review and comments. Almost any time we ever did business with family or close friends someone ended up getting their feeling hurt or some such nonsense. Thanks for pointing out the spags. I'd fixed the on with the extra words. I always seem to have someting I shouldn't have. I not much of a proofreader these day. I'll keep tryint to them shorter.

This writing has some interesting reading but you do have some typos. I mention two that I remember only so you can fix them. 1) Your son might might have run over it run over it with his bike (repeated words) 2) Entitled to more money.re money.

Thank you for the review and comments and for pointing out the spags. I did fix them. Do you upgrade the review, as most do when the errors are corrected?

As they say, life is full of ups and downs, and this seems to be a poor period in your life, your hubby's dad dying, and then being "ripped off" by family, seems to be terribly unfair for you. My sister bred English sheep dogs for awhile, I don't think that worked out either. Beautifully written Beth. Blessings, Roy
(I think you probably mean, "property rich, income poor.")

Thank you so much for your review and comments The "property rich and income poor" Is good, but maybe a Aussie thing. I've never heard it but I like it. I've always just heard house poor. Maybe i'll use yours. I've got three houses and an apartment now and my children are occupying three of them. Only one pays me anything, so I'm still property rich and income poor. LOL

I like this biographical fiction, you have very impressively, vividly and truly narrated your living with your husband, sharing experience that everything in life does not go smoothly as one expects; well said, well done; enjoyed the read; thank you for sharing this. Keep writing. ALCREATOR
