She's right about the protection she's been afforded, they ate absolutely useless, poor McKenzie, beaten up by some hoods, who assailed, where is Logan when one needs him. I wonder what will happen to Joanne as well. A very exciting episode Barbara, well done, riveting stuff, blessings, Roy

Thank you for the encouraging review.

Good chapter plenty of drama and stuff left undone. I am not surprised this has happened. I have been expecting it. Seems they came up a bit short with the surveillance. No spags and I can't wait for the next chapter. I hope these guys are seen.

From the picture, I figured that was coming but not four of them. Those police int the backyard really aren't worth much. They surly got violent with McKenzie. Where are the dogs? You've let us wondering what happens next. Nicely written. This is a good chapter.====

I had fish early today but now you made me hungry again. Looks as if you are about to ring the bells or it seems that way. Good one Barb. I can see this happening.

Poor Mackenzie, bitten again and blooded reduce to a heap of skin and bones. I hope she will be rescued in time, before anything else is happening to her. Thank you for sharing and good luck with the next chapter.

As usual, like other chapters, I have enjoyed the diverse spread of theme, realistic taletelling, fantastic dialogues, beginning is good enough and a bit catchy; fine climax, curious ending; well said, well done; enjoyed the read; thank you for sharing this; keep writing. ALCREATOR

Oh dear, this is a nasty surprise. So Logan and his gut feelings were right, after all. You lulled us into a sense of safety and then, bam! that did come out of nowhere. A great chapter. God forbid that she's dead. A great chapter. All best. Ulla:)))

This is excellent. You deftly go from the mundane task of preparing a meal to Mac's being attacked by the masked intruders. Four of them, at that. That is typical of the mystery shows I watch on DVD. The chief bad guy always has his henchmen to do the dirty work for him. All of this with the police out there, supposedly watching her place. That's why I'm convinced it has to be someone that Mac knows and trusts. I am all sympathy about the chicken sticking. I have a fairly new stove, and the burners are more powerhouse those on my old stove. I burned sausage yesterday. judi

You're welcome. Aw, just a little hint about who's behind it all. judi

Nope, my lips are sealed. LOL It gets worse.

Things sound pretty bad already. I knew Mac would be in trouble as soon as she was by herself. judi
