Awe what a great idea to write a book for your grandkids. And on top of it it's an educational book! I love crustaceans. They are so cool. This was an easy read and very informative. Great job!

I know that you were writing these for your grandson, but, I'm enjoying these fun facts that you took the time to research. I didn't know that their were so many different kinds. I also wasn't familiar with everything that they eat. I'm glad that you shared this. When I was a lad, I use to bring all kinds of creatures home for pets. I was and still am fascinated by them. Thanks for sharing this interesting, informative, and well written work. Well done!

I'm learning a lot, too, Jeffrey, I'll never look at crabs in the same light again. They are fascinating creatures. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this one, and I hope you continue to join me as I go through the rest of the alphabet. Thank you for your lovely comments, my friend. I really appreciated them. Big hugs, Sandra xxx

-Graham is quite an artist,
and I love his work, Sandra.
-It does deserve the first slot:)
-A good poem and information
about the many kinds of crabs.
-I like the part about dressing up,
and how they do that.
-I didn't know sponges smelled, either!
-I agree that crabs are much better
than bats, although the bats are important.
-Well done!

Thank you, Pam. I keep telling Graham that everyone likes his drawings, I'm going to have to stop though, his head is getting larger than mine!!! LOL. Thanks, Pam, I'm so pleased you liked C. I'm hoping the facts I'm finding will please kids of Eric's age because I'll give a few copies to his school if the head teacher would like them. Have a lovely rest of the day, my friend!! :)) Sandra xxxx

My Zodiac sign is the Crab. I am a Cancer. May 21st to July something or other. Jim and I were the same sign. I used to love to dress up too and tend to stamp my foot when annoyed. LOL I also eat both meat and Plants but turn my nose up at algae and bacteria, shellfish, worms, squid and fish eggs. Yes, even fish eggs. This was fun for me. Thanks for the information on crabs. Good job, Sandra. Nancy:)

LOL! Nancy! So what's wrong with a nice plate of algae and worms?? I don't know, some people are just tooooo fussy! lol. It's funny that crabs and you both like to dress up. I'd draw the line at the smelly sponge though, :)) Thanks for reading and the fun review, my friend. Take care and have a lovely day! :)) Sandra xx

As always, I not only enjoyed your poem, but all the information that followed. I couldn't agree more regarding the cuter picture - Is there no end to Graham's talents? Now off to see how Eric and Herbie are doing!

This is such a good idea, using animals as a memory aid for the alphabet. I must admit that some of the facts are new to me. The book will surely be a winner with your grandson and a guide for publication. Good luck Sandra.

Thank you so much for this lovely review, Mel. I'm delighted you liked it. I might try to get it published traditionally, but if that doesn't happen, I'll publish it myself to give it to Eric and any other child that might like it. Thanks, you've quite made my day! Big hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx

It's amazing how much I found out about them. One reader on here told me they sing, too! Thank you so much for your lovely review, Marilyn, I really appreciate it. Have a lovely day! Sandra xx

I've heard that, Sandra, and most likely an eerie sound while beached.
reply by the author on 22-Apr-2020
Yes, apparently it's a high pitched sound. Very creepy. xx

Hello Sandra. Well as you travel down the animal alphabet you have one of the prettier creatures on the face of the earth. I'm surprised there are more than 2 of them in the world because they are ugly. They certainly don't have to worry about me, because a few years ago I became allergic to shellfish and can no longer eat any of it including crab.

When I discovered how many different species there were and the amount of them, I was glad so many were caught each year. If they weren't, the whole planet would be overrun with them by now. Thank you for reading my letter C Robert, I'm so pleased you are still coming along the alphabet. Have a lovely day, my friend. :)) Sandra xxxx

You're welcome. It was Alaska king crab legs that initiated my allergies.
