I just did a piece on the anteater and did a lot of reading to get it just right and this is perfectly done, not too long for them to lose interest and all the right things in.

Awe, Sandra, I never knew you've written an ABC book, for children and now young persons, about animals. That's a great concept. I found it very interesting, and I've learned something new today. I loved the drawing Graham has made. Very, very good. Eric will be delighted, I'm sure. Stay safe and a big hug. Ulla xxx

Thank you so much for the six stars. Ulla, I wasn't expecting any for this one. :)) I am doing this for Eric and his school. I'll be going there and reading them to his class. I'm really excited about it. Thanks, my friend. Big hugs, and Happy Easter. :)) Stay safe and well, my friend. xxx Sandra xx
-
Awe but it deserved it. I should say Happy Easter to you as well, I'm sorry, but as far as I'm concerned it's been cancelled this year. LOL xx
-
It has rather, hasn't it. We'll not be doing anything, it's just another day. But, we can remember what this particular day is, and what it means to us all. Take care, my friend. xx
-
You're right. I did come across rather cynical. I'm Sorry. xxx
-
No, Ulla, I didn't mean that at all. We are all rather down at the moment. So many deaths, and for what? We need to keep our faith or we'll lose everything. Your words are the words many are thinking and I understand why. xxxx
-
You are so right. It's all such a waste of life. But I'm positive we will pull through this one, as well. I'm happy where I am and I'm grateful that my family and friends are all well. A hug. xxxx

Well, I certainly learned some new facts about Anteaters. For one thing, I never knew their tongues were so long. A great little poem for the kiddies. It's fun to read and full of facts. Hugs, Lou

Thank you so much, Lou. I'll be writing one each week with some weird, fun facts to go with them. I hope you're well and keeping safe, my friend. Happy Easter! :)) Sandra xx

Happy Easter, Sandra. I'll look forward to reading them.

Hi Sandra! If you wanted a picture of an Anteater... why didn't you just ask? I've got tons! LOL The zoo in my state has had a Giant Anteater couple for a few years now, they've even had a baby. :)

Now why didn't you tell me?? I was sure you could mind read, Susan! LOL. That must be quite something to see, I'd love to see the baby one. Aww, I bet he's cute! Thanks for reading this first one, Susan, B, is coming in a few days. Happy Easter, my friend. :)) Sandra xxx
-
What's the B animal? I've got a great picture of a Brown Bear from the Columbus Zoo! :)
-
B is Bat. But the reason I chose it was because they are not at all what we would expect, yet do have what kids like to read. I did wonder about them after bats were blamed for the corona virus. :(( But I want children to learn and have fun with them. You'll see what I mean when you read it. xxx
-
Yeah... I've had enough of bats for a while thanks! I think one was living in my room for months! I wonder if it had a broken wing?
-
They are a protected species in my country, (UK) my son has mixed feelings about them after he had to pay two people to sit all night in his garden to check on whether bats lived in his cottage that he wanted to pull down and build a new home. It cost him two thousand pounds and still had to make sure his new building had an entrance to let them in his attic. LOL, I know he wasn't a happy bunny! (he made an entrance for them, and after they had inspected it and passed it on the plans, he filled it in! lol.
-
THAT is nuts! Who wants an attic full of guano? Ick!!! Nasty! We build bat houses. Put them on the garage, a tree, the side of the house up under the eves... but not IN the house! Take it from me... you don't want that! 😨
-
No, I don't want it, nor did my son! That's why he sealed the hole up after the building had been passed. LOL. we have some crazy laws here. :(

Short and sweet, but very informative. Funnily enough, I've never thought about researching the lifestyle of an anteater - and thanks to you, I'll never have to!
I'm sure Eric will appreciate this, although perhaps not as much as your wonderful books about him and Herbie. Well done!

Thank you so much for the 6 stars, Alexis, I really appreciate that you enjoyed learning about the anteater. Now you'll know that you don't have to worry about them if they fall into the ocean!! LOL. Big hugs, my friend and Happy Easter. :)) Sandra xx

These would be really interesting facts for a child. I've always wondered how they arrived at a figure regarding how many ants an anteater eats but I guess they have their ways.

Me too, I'm also sure they don't count them as they go in! lol. I like the way they don't take all the ants, but leave many to breed for their next meal! Thanks, Judy, I'm glad you liked this one. The Bat with more amazing facts is next. Happy Easter, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

Hello Sandra. I have always been fascinated by anteaters. Having seen them before, they remind me of an armadillo by the way they waddle around. I could use one in my yard this spring. There are a couple of big ant hills in my front yard. I would be willing to pay them cash money to come here and work.

LOL, I'm sure they would do it for free if you allowed them to eat the contents! There are 4 different types of anteater, but their names were so difficult to pronounce I left that out. Thanks, Robert. Happy Easter! :)) Sandra xx

You're welcome

Wow, Sandra, great facts even for adults! I did not know anteaters could swim and the way that they do--interesting. Your book is off to a great start. I enjoyed reading this informative, fun poem. I wonder what ants smell like--only kidding--only an anteater needs to know that, right? I can see much interest by students Eric's age plus enjoying your book. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully, Jan

Thank you so much, Roy. I really appreciate what you said. I had no idea that they could swim, let alone use their long nose for their own personal snorkel, now that is handy!! Happy Easter to you and your family, too, my friend! Big hugs, Sandra xxxx

-Great artwork and project idea, Sandra.
-I am going to enjoy learning about animals.
-I didn't know much at all about anteaters.
-I can relate to wanting to sleep, but I
will pass on the diet of ants!
-I can hear the kids saying,
"30,000 insects a day, yuck!"
-I think kids of all ages will
enjoy this. I liked the poem, too!
-Good luck with both projects,
and tell Graham he is now
committed to sharing a piece of art.

I passed your message on to Graham, and got a big smile! lol. I'm so happy you like this, Pam. I'm getting all the fun facts for the children. When Eric goes back to school and I go to finally read Eric and the Aliens to them, I'm going to have a word with their head teacher about this project. I'll give him a copy when it's published. It would be nice if he likes it. Thank you so much for reading the first letter in my animal ABC. :)) Happy Easter, dear friend. Big hugs, Sandra. xxxx

I am glad Graham liked my idea; tell him to get going:) I enjoy those fun facts, too, it gives character to the animals! I think Eric will love it, and the teacher will be thrilled to have more books:) I look forward to the rest.
