Hi Cathy & Bill

This is a well written chapter full of action, suspense and resolution. So Bill and Cathy are now engaged and going to commit to a real family. I wondered when I read this as to the time frame of the wedding especially with Bill returning to Viet Nam. The details are also great for this chapter. I wouldn't be surprised if this one gets nominated for site chapter contest at the end of the month. Looking forward to the next chapter. Keep safe! xoxo deborah

I hope your last your last chapter will be a happy ending; recently I just watched a movie and it was just the opposite. Love your southern drawl. It has been such a great story.

This is another excellent chapter in your novel Bill and Cathy. The presentation is AWESOME. What a great title!

I enjoyed the 'previously' as a quick reminder where this chapter was in relation to the story.

I was worried about what would happen to Grandpa as the last chapter ended on a cliff hanger of not knowing. The way you resolved it was genius. I can see how he would be disoriented after hitting his head on the rock. The dialogue between him, the man who saw him hit his head, and then Grandma was perfect. The conversation sounded natural and flowed nicely. Leave it to Grandma with her sharp tongue to put an end to it for all as only she could.

You did a great job detailing Bill and Cathy's vacation and what would be the last day of it. Their conversation was so sweet and real. The attractions Bill planned for the day sounded great. I'm with Cathy about the snakes. I MIGHT touch the scaly back of the python but not its head. Readers get a sense of fun the two were having--the arcade, the Goofy Golf, the ferris wheel ride, snacking on 'fair-type food,' and the carousel ride. Bill's proposal was dreamy. It was one for the record books. I could imagine him as a knight proposing to his princess on her white horse--like a fairy tale--only this was real. It was so romantic. I can imagine the 'rest' as you alluded to it.

The departure of Cathy to Pigeon Forge and Bill to San Francisco pulled at readers' (my) heartstrings. How difficult that would have been--especially for Cathy. Bill's thoughts on the train, although poignant, were great to read. It lets readers in on his most inner thoughts of family, love, and the unknown he is facing. His thoughts back to the meadow were well-written. There is great imagery and still more of Bill's thoughts of home. I believe all military would think of positive thoughts like these as they are on the way to their mission. His last request to Jesus shows his faith and his love for Cathy and the baby.

I love the idea of the three parts of the novel. I believe there will be more intense, heart-wrenching action to come. Thanks for sharing this AWESOME chapter Bill and Cathy. I anxiously look forward to the next.

I loved reading this and watching the videos at the end. You always choose pertinent, yet entertaining or newsworthy ones to ground your chapter in time and place.

Respectfully with Love and Admiration, Jan

I'm sure glad Grandpa is alright. I'm surprised Grandma didn't let him have it. I'm sure he'll pay for it in other ways, lol. The part about Kathy and Bill was so sweet. I too wish it didn't have to end. I do hope he gets back home safely soon. It's a very well-written, interesting chapter as usual. I look forward to the next book.

Glad to catch up. It's been a while. Is the baby born yet or still cookin'? Sly banter you always toss in! Love the snappy dialog between them. The line about patting the python is priceless--though not in the context you intended! Cheers. LIZ

I used to live in Panama City. I remember that awful smell from the paper factory across the bay. It was nauseating. Enough of that memory, you did an excellent job, as always. Shirley

Bill had better survive the jungles of Vietnam, that's all I can say. It would be absolutely horrible if he did not. I really enjoy reading this story. Thank you so much for sharing.

This is another great chapter to a best seller! I seem to get to the end before I a ready to.

I am uncertain if you need an apostrophe on the last word. "I prayed that our training was better than our adversaries."

The videos are great too.

Hello Cathy & Bill,
Lovely piece of Romance Fiction having matching the theme lucid wording, captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end with some interesting Romantic scenes, Particularly "..."Cathy, will you marry me?"..." + "A big smile crossed...you can guess the rest!" Marvelous!
The end is actually the beginning, and I like your this style very much.

I admire that Cathy can ride a Ferris wheel and be pregnant at the same time! I had morning sickness the entire pregnancy. I enjoyed each section and now you so creatively tied every thing together. I hated to see Bill go back to Nam, just like my brother, Steve. I am hopeful for our couple and their marriage and reunion.
Sending you both my best today as always,
Sally xoxo
