Starting in a simple apartment, this is a wonderfully descriptive tale of a couple's love and struggles during the Eisenhower days. My parents grew up in those days, and my dad was in World War II, so I heard many things about how much of a struggle it was to get by back then. It sounds like you and your husband had a tough time of it, but remained in love and continued to do so through all the hardships. Congratulations on all those years together.

Thank you so much for the review and comments. It was all part of the adventure. It was a struggle but it was worth the effort and we were in it together for the long hall.

I like the real life story that is expressed with innocent sincerity and clearly shows the view of a young woman going into marriage and learning the ropes. I like that you really loved each other and stuck together in dealing with finances and whatever issues that arose. Bill
