I bet that you win with this one, June. You create the image through the use of new petals. Those petals are what make the poem to me. New petals are tight and beautiful. Then with light and water, they soften and open up to the world. Sweet whispers to a lover would do the same thing. This is such a nice simile.

Such a tender and sweet 3-liner. "Sweet words...raindrops" is a marvelous simile. I can picture these words dropping daintily onto flower petals. Last line is a treasure.

I like the message of this. You've used and excellent comparison. You compare sweet words to raindrops dropping on new petals. I know that those new petals are going to hungrily receive those raindrops. You hungrily receive those sweet words, soaking them in. This is really good work and I enjoyed reading this inspirational and well written work. Well done!
