That was an interesting question, "are you petted?" Is that the same as asking "are you spoiled?"
Interesting that you hadn't had coffee before. How old were you?
What a different world we live in today. It's rare that anyone asks a lady to go to church with them anymore.
That's humorous about the toothbrush thing and being germ conscious.

Thank you Bill for the nice review. Yes, petted is old way of saying spoiled. I was 17 and very sheltered. The fifties was quite a different world.
