Why God No Kill The Devil?

A good question to answer

Your essay is a good explanation of how God uses the free will he gave us all to allow each of us to learn and potentially grow in a positive way. The other side of that coin is the presence of deceptively alluring Evil, the necessary Dark to contrast with His Light. Yes, giving Hebrews an incentive to leave Egypt makes sense, so that God's promise to Abraham could be fulfilled. (Then the time spent wandering in the desert forced their children to become strong enough to survive hardship.) Well done.

That said, I must tell you that Robinson's last name was Crusoe. [Enrico Caruso (1873-1921) was a famous Italian operatic tenor, which is why that spelling may have come to mind.]

Also, in the last sentence of paragraph seven, you meant "lightning" (no "e") rather than "lightening" (which means "becoming lighter").

Thank you for your thoughtful comments and your editorial help, I appreciate them and your time.
I would point out the major problem Israel had in their wilderness journey was old fashioned unbelief. This lack of faith becomes more and more egregious in view of the tremendous demonstrations of God's power in liberating them from the most powerful nation on earth without the use of weapons of war.

Additionally,He miraculously sustained them in the desert. Yet they rebelled when told to go in and conquer the land.
The Apostle Paul uses their failure to warn us believers today less we fail to go on to be victorious Christians by His power.

10 Moreover, brethren, I do not want you to be unaware that all our fathers were under the cloud, all passed through the sea, 2 all were baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea, 3 all ate the same spiritual food, 4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them, and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with most of them God was not well pleased, for their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.
    Thanks again, Dennis

    You are welcome, Dennis.

Some people simply fail to observe; others observe but do not think deeply about what they see; still others observe and think but do not act; while only a few observe, think, AND act when necessary. This seems to be the range of human nature regardless of heritage or belief.

You can fix the spelling of both Crusoe and lightning by clicking the "Edit This" button, returning to the editor, fixing the items, and then clicking to SAVE before returning to view the results. No reviews, ratings, or ranking will be lost in that process. This can be done as many times as necessary, without loss.

I know about the editing, I just got tired and thought I had corrected it but as you know, unless one saves it
The change, there?s no change. 😄

I've never had a problem with making changes, but I won't bug you further about these.

This is great. Most Christians don't know the Bible as well as the Devil does, you're absolutely spot on there. He twists it though, and mixes it with lies. A fake God is Satan, a God wannabe. He's on a short lease as God of this world. A creative look at God's ways versus Satans'.
Sending you my best today as always,
Sally :)

Thank you for your always kind and encouraging words. Here's some additional scripture on God's shaping Israel to possess the land with overtones for our progress as believers. YBIC, Dennis

Am out of sixes or I'd give you one.
That was very interesting and informative. I enjoyed it.
Do you mean that God made the people into warriors and that made the Devil insignificant to them - less powerful - so instead of killing him, they ignored him?

No, they had no power to kill the Devil or anyway of diminishing his power. God was intent on teaching them (and us) to trust Him and thereby defeat Satan individually as well as collectively. God bless, Dennis

That is a good question and I think no matter how ironic it sounds this is part of God's plan, light and darkness. Thank you for sharing and good luck with your writings.

Very important aspect as to free will central to understanding how God allowed certain things. I like where you went with it. Robinson the book, I had heard was written by a Christian. Keep up the good Word and work. Very informative.
