A finely balanced poem. The significance has never really struck me before Of tears being shed both for sorrow and for joy. One has not truly lived until both have been experienced.

This is an excellent post my friend, the greatest gift we ever received was the coming of The Lord, to pay for and absorb our sin. Beautifully written, a language rich narrative, and tetrametric stanzas and immaculate aabb rhyming, I loved this wonderful post, well done, blessings, Roy

Kahlil Gibran is one of my most beloved poets and philosophers. He has impacted my heart since I was a young teenager. His wisdom imbedded in me through the years. I am so delighted to see you chose him and wrote this beautiful piece in his honor. No better man has ever come from Lebanon! xoxo

Wow! It takes a great faith and trust in God to say these things. For all our loved ones, we pray for protection from pain and illness and yet you write that you have gained spiritual blessings from sorrows because they drew you closer to the Lord. Blessings and I hope you do well in the contest!

Brilliant. You did an excellent job at meeting the difficult requirements of this contest. Definitely spiritual. I would say Christian in nature. Your rhyme scheme was perfect and very clever. I enjoyed reading your remarkable poem. Good luck in the contest, I am sure you will do well. Blessings. ~Brenda

Your poem is both a lovely homage to inspiration gained from reading Kahlil Gibran (one of my favourites), and an excellent poem depicting your progression into spiritual awareness and acceptance of life's dualities, beautifully presented.

That was really lovely. I was taken with the lines that for every tear shed some greater good is going on somewhere. Our pain will pass, but if it shouldn't then we must trust in God that He will help us through. Well done, I really loved thispoem. :)) Sandra x

Your poetry is eloquently stating a thought that everyone
should heed. In the world today, the blessings are abundant
and yet not appreciated as the Lord gave us so much.
Thanks for sharing.

This poem tells us that pain is a good thing. It shows you your strength and it cleanses your soul to accept and treasure the happiness. It shows that true happiness is in faith.
It is a good recap of the poem you chose as your inspiration in the format, long and short stanzas combined and in subjet.
Good luck with the prompt
